Steps from the Prado and Botanical GardenPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: Proximity to Atocha train station and the Prado museum
A great hotel in a perfect location for exploring the Prado and about a 15 min walk from the Gran Via. From the Atocha train station it's about a 10 min walk and from the airport about 25 min by taxi (appx 34 euros). The rooms are a decent size for Europe and the en-suite bathroom well appointed (except for hair conditioner). The restaurant has a great menu with choices for everyone, including vegetarians, which can be difficult to find in Spain.

Conveniently located near the Louvre.Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness of the Hotel was appreciated.
Cons: The attitude of the front desk attendant who checked me in.
Location: There are several attractions near by the Hotel. For example, the Louvre, nice restaurants, stores to shop at and many other sites to see.
The Hotel stay was nice. Most of the staff was friendly and attentive. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant made a reservation mistake and never apologized then became unfriendly. However, the other members of the staff made up for his behavior.

Book a business roomPosted Sep 10, 2013
I stayed at this hotel twice in a short period. There are good things about it as follows. The breakfast is the best on an absolute scale. Really. The staff at breakfast is awesome. The reception staff is good, much better than average but not exceptional. The rooms have great beds and coffee makers. However the rooms have small windows - probably common in Europe - and no view. The cheapest room has windows which open towards a small interior court - basically 2m view !!!! It is also ridiculously small. The room cleaning service might need improvement, sometimes you might need to go to reception to ask for soap. I had problems with the water in the rooms - most likely they save water and energy but they solve it if you complain. This kind of problems are unacceptable for this kind of hotel. One room booked with EXPEDIA came with a bottle of wine but they didn't display it clearly and I was almost about to forget ... Shame !!! The hotel is located strategically next to Prado museum and also close to the street with bars and small clubs.

Hidden SurprisePosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Location, Spacious room, luxurious.
Cons: Shower got water on bathroom floor
Location: Prado Museum across the street, Restaurants just down the street, can walk to downtown .
We were so thrilled with this hotel. After spending 3 weeks in Europe in various hotels we were so excited to find a high class hotel right across from Prado Museum in Madrid that was so delightful. The location was excellent - could walk everywhere - train station just down the street. Museums across the street. The hotels outdoor restaurant was so convenient and great. The room was spacious, queen bed (real luxury in Europe), view of the square, big shower in bathroom and very modern and upscale.

Worst room everPosted Jul 22, 2013
Never ever was I given a room in a 4star hotel that has an opaque window that you cannot even open. The window was probably opening into an interior light well. On top of this the room was not much larger than the bed. At this price you can get a better room anywhere in madrid, in fact I got a cheper better room a week later.

Great location and hotelPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel w/in minutes of Prado, train station and subway. Stayed in a suite which was superb...3 french balcony windows. Staff very attentive but not helpful when it came to restaurant suggestions, etc (no concierge). Would stay there again.

Reception and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness of Spa pretty poor. Plus could do with staff presence for " show round"

Great hotel for all occasionsPosted Jun 5, 2013
Pros: Beautiful rooms and food. Great shower.
Location: Opposite the Prado. Couldn't be better.
Really fantastic hotel. We had our passports stolen while we were in Spain, yet the hotel went to great lengths to accomodate us over our stay. Fantastic.
