Comfortable and modern hotel near the major sitesPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: modern, clean, good location, free wifi, nice bathroom Cons: analogue TV with poor reception, shower was separate and only had a glass door with the shower visible from the bedroom (not suitable for friends staying together), door easily stuck on shower

Great location, price, hotel, staffPosted Sep 11, 2013
Cons: Minor issue, there weren't many rungs to hang towels
Location: The location is great right on Plaza Santa Ana, which has great restaurants. You're also a 5 minute walk from Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Prado
Stayed there in late August. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. The rooms are very nice, the staff was incredibly helpful, the location is great, and the services (WiFi, maid service, etc) are top notch. I travel 2-3 weeks a month for work so get annoyed at little things like slow WiFi, etc but Room Mate Alicia had nothing negative to say about it in my opinion. I was a little nervous about how loud the rooms would be since the hotel is right on a busy square however even light sleeping me was able to sleep since there were 2 sets of thick glass.

Loved it. The location is great as it is right in front of Plaza Santa Ana which is full of restaurant/tapas bar as well as shops, etc. it's definitely a hotel I would recommend in Madrid. I'm looking forward to trying their other hotels around the world.

Excellent all around!Posted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for leisure travellers. The room was excellent/very quiet and the layout was unlike anything I have experienced in many other hotels worldwide. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, from the maid to the front desk. The location is superb, with a short walk to the major museums in one direction and to the Plaza Mayor in the other. I wouldn't choose the hotel for a business visit but for tourist reasons it is pretty unbeatable for the price. I am still wondering if Alicia will stop by but you can't have everything...

Great spot close to shoppingPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: I really liked the location of the hotel. The room was very spacious and very modern
Cons: Perhaps breakfast could be a little fresher
Location: 10 minute stroll to the main shopping area around Plaza Mayor. Easy walk to the tour bus, Reina Sofia, Musee del Prado and attocha train station
I stayed at Room Mate Alicia on my own recently whilst in Madrid. I found the staff to be so helpful and made my stay a real pleasure. My room was fantastic- very spacious and a great view of the square with lots of restaurants to dine in. I also stayed at the same chain - Emma in Barcelona the week before and had the same great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

My lovely home in MadridPosted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Staff is incredible, they are always going above and beyond with a smile to help all the guests.
Cons: Coffee maker / tea kettle in a room would be great
Location: Plaza Santa Ana, all the main sites in Madrid are 10 minutes of walking distance, and great restaurants, tapas, incredible places.
I love everything about Room Mate Alicia, I stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world and in Madrid, as I travel a lot due to business and leisure. Room Mate Alicia with its 5 star staff, service, location is the BEST hotel I stayed. I will come back and I will always stay with them, when I am in Madrid. Itziar, Jose Ramon, Eva, Cristina, Elena (house keeping and restaurant) all of them are lovely people, they make me feel like I am a part of the family of Alicia. Rooms are great, and good size for Europe, and with all the amenities, excellent shower, awesome location right in Plaza Santa Ana which is the best plaza in Madrid. I am sending my huge appreciation to Jose, Itziar, Eva, Elena (both of them) for making my time in Madrid the best in every way. I will be back very soon...

We will consider this hotel again.Posted Jun 21, 2013
Pros: 2 things: (1) the Staff and (2) Location, location, location.
Cons: its gets noisy sometimes but "it comes with the territory"
Location: Using the Atocha train station to visit the nearby towns. Walking distance to shopping malls many nearby restaurants. Optimum stay for us.
Everyone at the front desk (particularly Jose) were professional and extremely helpful. The location is simply the best for our plans. Using the Atocha train station to visit the nearby towns. The walking distance to shopping malls and the many nearby restaurants made it an optimum stay ...
