Pros: The room had everything that should have.
Location: quite centralized to the city central.
Will go back to the hotel again. Metro is the best way to get about Madrid. Plenty of shops in Madrid.

Superb location, lovely staff!

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Everything! Helpful friendly staff
Cons: The beds moved because of the wheels, so maybe something to keep them in place
Location: Everything is nearby and a must see. If you are there on a sunday then check out El Rastro, the biggest market in madrid for cheap sovenirs!
HOTEL it is literally right outside the Anton Martin metro stop. The door security were really lovely and friendly and so were the staff behind the reception desk. we were able to leave our bags in a secure room. I requested an outside room because I like noise but in actual fact it wasn't that noisy and falling asleep was not a problem. The room was cleaned daily and it had all the facilities you could want (WIFI, TV, Mini bar, showering toiletries, hairdryer). The location is perfect. Down the road (left from hotel) and left at Plaza del Emperador Carlos V takes you in the direction of the botanical gardens, Retiro park (take a fun boat ride for about €5.60) and the Prado museum (10-15min walk). Sundays hosts el Rastro, the biggest markets in madrid. It is the best place to buy your souvenirs. walk up the road and at the Plaza de Anton Martin, turn left on Calle de Magdalena and continue walking down. take a left on to Calle de Toledo (10min walk). Sol is the heart of Madrid. Take a right from the hotel and continue walking up Calle Atocha until you reach the Plaza Jacinto Benavente, take a right on to Calle de Carretas and you will reach Sol.Plaza Mayor really comes to life at night and is a great place for drinks. Be careful of the the people trying to push you into getting massages, it is easy to be pressured so just be firm and say no. Take a right from the hotel and continue walking up Calle de Atocha (7-10min walk)

Nice staff and good location...but no sleep at all

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location!
Cons: Changing the management or offer better training to the manager.
Good and convenient location. You can walk to major attractions, the subway is just outside and there are plenty of places to eat in the neighborhood. Great breakfast in the morning. Front Desk is patient, helpful and friendly. We were staying here for 5 nights and arrived after a long travelling day. Our room was on the first floor of the hotel just under a conference room. On the first night we learnt that the hotel manager offered that meeting room to a private party (bachelor party) and trying to sleep that night was a nightmare. We couldn't believe that a manager can show so much disrespect to its customers - customers which actually keep the hotel business alive. Trying to get good sleep for the other nights was difficult as well because of the continuously traffic on the hallway with people shouting, singing or whistling to each other, shutting doors, knocking, etc . This went on all nights until daybreak when maintenance team continued the show. So if you like a quiet nights sleep, don't even think of this option.....

Pros: Clean and quiet, good location.
Cons: Could use more pillows
Location: Within walking distance of most tourist attractions, and Atocha train station, felt like a safe area
Minor hiccup at check-in possibly due to language barrier, but rooms were clean and quiet.

Great location, but noisy.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: I liked the location, the breakfast, and the friendly and helpful staff,
Cons: I would make the rooms a little more soundproof.
I stayed in the TRYP Atocha with my 2 kids and husband for 10 days. The hotel serves a fabulous breakfast and the pictures are weak for the varied selection of eggs, bacon, sausages, cold cuts, breads, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, freshly squeezed juices, espresso, churros, etc. It is in a central location just steps away from the Metro station and a 10-15 walk to museums like Reina Sofía and Prado. Plazas such as Santa Ana and Plaza Mayor are also about a 15-20 min. walk. On the same block there are bakeries, mini markets, a pharmacy, bars, etc. On the weekends however, the hotel hosts parties in their ballrooms located on the second floor. Sadly, the family rooms (where I stayed) are on the first floor and you hear EVERYTHING that goes on upstairs. Also, in this hallway there are wood floors and you hear everything and everyone all night long.

Excellent hotel with the best location.

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: The location and the service of the staff.
Location: It was either within walking distance or a short metro ride to everything you want to see. It is easy to get to from the Madrid airport.
We stayed there for four nights. The location is excellent within walking distance to many attractions and a metro station nearby.
