Highlight of our Madrid trip

Posted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: Comfort and cleanliness of the room, friendly staff, good location
The hotel location is hard to beat. It is across the street of Prado museum, and three subway station are within 500 to 700 meters distance. We got early check in, enjoyed complimentary hot fresh coffee in the room every morning. the heavenly bath and heavenly bed are hard to beat after a long day nonstop walk in the city. It is worthy of every penny we spent.

great location

Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: location-ambiance-gallent-clean
Cons: the carpet in room 606
Location: right in center of town-real close to plaza de mayor and all kinds of museums-churches etc
I am a country boy but I enjoyed Madrid immensely-thanks to the westin palace. hotel was great-the only negative comment that I can make is thatour carpet in room 606 was pretty worn out. wonderful room-wonderful view-staff wonderful-hotel is beautiful----I walked across the street to another famous hotel and I would stay here rather than change on my next trip places to eat close by--close to plaza mayor--here in texas we would call it the mayor mall--lots of shops and wonderful eats. I give Madrid an a plus and the historical town of Toledo an a because the streets are kinda hard on an old person like me but it was wonderful and beautiful.

poor hotel, good location

Posted Nov 6, 2013
Pretty disappointing place. Staff arguing with each other right in front of us during check-in. Paint chipping and missing on lots of wood trim in the room. Carpet nails sticking up, hurt our feet walking out of the bathroom. Maintenance staff came in and hammered them back down. Nothing particularly special about anything except the location, which is great. Over-priced, kind of place that nickel-and-dimes you for everything (you'll hate the price of internet).
