Close to restaurants and bus stop

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Nice personnel, comfortable beds.
Cons: Free wifi, parking
Didn't like about not having parking, not having wifi all day only half hour free, they charge for early check in, far from downtown.

This was a one-nighter in Madrid in order to make my flights work. For the price it was fine. The room was sparse on extras (soap and lotion in the bath) but it was clean and roomy. However, the walls and doors are thin so if you get a noisy neighbor and want to sleep, God help you. No wi-fi in the room.

Madrid - Travelodge Torrelaguna

Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Clean, well attended, access to public transport options
Cons: refrigerator in room, wifi included in room price
Location: Great breakfast across street, Fredy's, access to a few restaurants and a SuperCor grocery store, any tourist activity requires use of metro/bus
Hotel was clean, well attended and provided solid economy value for the family. It is located in more of a business district which resulted limited options for night life, restaurants etc. The room itself lacked a small refrigerator which would of have been a welcome addition to an other wise decent room set up. Wi-fi was free for 30 min per day in the lobby, but was costly to purchase on a daily basis. Hotel is located near two metro stations within approx 1 km distance, and has bus stop for Bus 53 right outside with service to Bull Fight Stadium, Prado, and Sol and within a 5 to 6 block walk to the bus 200 bus stop, that provides direct access to and from airport.

Rooms were clean. No blankets, just bed sheets (went in early september, so no problem). Staff was very helpful. there is a grocery store right across the street. Bus 53 (goes to Sol) stops right in front of the building, so it can be convenient. Closest metro stop is almost 1km away.
