Luxury hotel in the best neighborhood of Madrid!

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: The room was perfect. Loved the cozy feel of the lounge and library. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day. Minutes to the metro!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Salamanca is not only upscale, but a real Madrid neighborhood. Loved the open market blocks away, shops, and metro stop and buses just a short walk.
We loved staying in this luxury boutique hotel in Salamanca! The hotel and neighborhood were perfect for our first visit to Madrid. The neighborhood is filled with the best upscale shops, and restaurants that are frequented by locals, not tourists. The hotel is beautiful, and well-equipped in every way.

Cozy Boutique hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Remodeled in a modern design, and located in a nice residential area surrounded by shops and boutiques. The hotel is very clean, great service and offers breakfast buffet for $ 26€ Per person. I thought that was steep. There is a nice cafe next door for very reasonable prices. The main attractions are a short cab ride away. The only drawback is that you hear people in the hallways if they are talking or slamming the doors.

Nice boutique hotel

Nicely remodeled in modern contemporary design. It's located in an upscale area with boutiques and shoppes. The breakfast is excellent but very expensive @26 € per person. There's a nice cafe next door and offers an American breakfast for only 5€ instead. The main tourist attractions are a few blocks away or a short cab ride

Wonderful Stay

Pros: Excellent location, down a quiet street. Short walk from everything. The hotel was well maintained and chic.
Cons: No coffee facilities were provided in the room. There was no iron either. but could be requested for if required.
Location: The best secret is a place called Platea, which is a short walk from the hotel. Otherwise, the best of Madrid is only a walk or short taxi ride away.
Very nice hotel in an exceptional trendy location. The Salamanca district is the place to be for cafes and restaurants, and shopping. The upper rooms on the fourth floor appear to have sloping ceilings with a pitched roof window with no view, so best avoided if possible. The room itself was very nice, comfortable and very clean.

Fantastic hotel experience

Posted Jun 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Unico lives up to its name. We arrived very late and were recieved by both a doorman and the front desk staff. The room had already been turned down. At the unico the attention to the smallest details can almost be taken for granted. The rooms are nicely designed, big and very comfortable. We had a room towards the street and did not regret that. The outside street is beautiful. The breakfast is fantastic as can be expected. Have a glass of cava, spanish hams or try something from their a la carte menu. An incredible experience from start to finish.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Salamanca

Loved our stay at The Hotel Unico, the concierge staff was helpful, the hotel is in a very nice upscale area. The living room and library room on the main floor are inviting and comfortable. Beautiful books are laid out to enjoy if you have the time. Croissants, chocolates, and apple juice are set out daily if you need a nibble. Very good daily breakfast downstairs.
