“Incredible and can't wait to go back”

Best place ever, the staff was really helpfull and the place and restaurants were great. The bar also has the best Sangria that I had in Madrid!!

“Never again”

My room wasn't ready when I arrived so left bags at hotel. When I got to the room and unpacked, a digital clock was missing from my carry-on bag. When I checked out the concierge wanted me to pay for a breakfast I never ordered and drinks I had never taken from the wet bar.

“Location Plus”

Excellent, excellent location - 2 minutes from the El Prado & shopping, numerous good restaurants all around Helpful staff with good English Rooftop pool wonderful - but smaller than pictures imply Glass bar delightful & offer of free glass of Cava on arrival much appreciated Cost of wireless Internet high but appreciated the offer of a free hour each day & the lobby computers with a printer capability. Would have appreciated coffee/tea making facility in the room A wonderful relaxing stay in a hotel with unique ambience & decoration with kind staff and an excellent location!

“Average Hotel...not 5-star”

Not a 5-star property, just average. Room was nice and contemporary and bathrooms where fine. The insulation is very poor. You can hear adjoining rooms through the walls and the noise in the hallway can be so loud you would think the door was open. Front desk service was average at best.

“Great”

There is nothing bad I can write about the hotel. It is a true 5 stars hotel. Not as elegant as the Palace but for 1/2 of the money I would take it anyday.

You are in the middle of everything. If you care to go a little further I woud recomen restaurant El Lando ( make reservations )

“Wonderful hotel, great amenities and staff!”

This hotel is situated close to many cultural sites: Prado, Reina Sophia, Botanical Gardens, Retiro Park. As Madrid is a walking city, it's only about 10 minutes from Puerta del Sol and great shopping. The people at Urban are the best. Very professional and helpful. Our room, though on the busy street (we asked for it), was noiseless once we closed the windows. Nice sitting area and bathroom very comfortable (Great shower). Good tapas in the bar, where we drank our complimentary glass of champagne. We stayed in another hotel with our adult kids earlier in the week, and this was a very nice upgrade! Would definitely consider staying here again.

Getting around

Easy to use Metro got us everywhere we didn't walk to! Also, be sure to take the Red Bus tour around the city. Loved getting on and off the bus when we wanted to spend time at a location.

“Would definitely go back to this hotel!”

My husband and I loved this hotel! Not only was Hotel Urban beautifully furnished, but it was also conveniently located in central Madrid. We loved the room--especially the comfy bed. In addition, the desk staff was very helpful, as were the doormen.

Area recommendations

I would recommend the area in which Hotel Urban is located. it's within walking distance to the Prado, Reina Sophia, the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, etc.

“Would Recommend”

This is a trendy hotel in a great location. Rooms are nice and rooftop bar/patio is fun, although pool and deck are tiny. Drinks, food, and other services are pricey - for example, continental breakfast is $20 euro per person. Overall, I would recommend.
