The location is unbeatable

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Location: Try restaurant La Trainera in Lagasca strees six blocks from the hotel. Amazing vasque cuisine with a lot of tradition
Rooms are a bit old. There is a big difference between newly remodeled rooms and not remodeled ones. When you get expedias lower fare you will a non-remodeled room which is pretty old. Amenities are great including toothbrush and razor. The location is awesome.

Excellent hotel, perfect location, great staff

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: We like the location, the staff, the rooms, it is an excellent hotel.
Cons: For the price, this is excellent value, nothing needs to be improved.
Location: The Salamanca neighborhood is great, Retiro Park is a block away, good restaurants and shopping, two metro stops are within two blocks.
This hotel is situated in a wonderful area, easily accessible to anywhere in Madrid, near great shopping and restaurants, a beautiful neighborhood. The staff is wonderful, they speak excellent English, they are very helpful and knowledgeable and accommodating. The rooms are fine, fairly good sized, well kept, very clean. This is the third time we have stayed at the Wellington and we will continue to come back.

Traditional hotel with character

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: The character, helpful staff and a very good breakfast service.
Cons: Quality of the standard bedrooms
Location: Conveniently situated for the Retiro Park and Prado Museum
based on a 5* rating - the quality of the bedroom was disappointing; it smelled of cigarette smoke and was in need of redecorating. As a consequence we had to pay a further eu33 per night to upgrade to a superior room.

Great hotel in the beautiful Salamanca district

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Had a wonder ful stay in the hotel Wellington. Starting with the reception and entrance hall, all feels very luxurious, clean and staff is very helpful. We discovered as a bonus to have access to the Wellington Suite on the 7th floor which offered a relaxed seating area inside and seating outside on the rooftop garden with free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: The comfort, the location, the excellent service.
Location: The best shopping area of Madrid, excellent restaurants very nearby.
Very comfortable, big room, perfect service at all levels. Great location.
