Stayed at Zazen on recommendation of a friend. We loved the location, garden villa and the superb service. Secluded but not isolated so able to walk to other restaurants and bars. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing and the service from the staff outstanding. We would have no hesitation on staying here again.

We had a very relaxing time at Fair House. Fair House has beautiful surroundings and is away from the hussle and bustle, which is exactly the holiday I was after. We stayed for 12 nights and for at least half of those days, we didn't leave the grounds. With beach access as well as a pool, great food and excellent service it was easy to let the days slip away. When we did leave, we used the free shuttle or the booking desk to access tours.
The food was very fresh and there was a good range on the menu, plus they were willing to meet your needs. All staff were friendly or if you were busy they were unobtrusive and efficient. The
wifi was fast and there was a universal electrical socket in the room (little things that made life easy). I cannot recommend Fair House highly enough and will definitely return in the future.

My wife and I went to Mantra for our 15th anniversary. We live in Cambodia and travel to Thailand often. This is by far the nicest place we have stayed at in Thailand. The breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable and clean, the exercise room was great with new machines and AC all day long, and the staff was very good and spoke English well, though we know a little Thai :-).

We'd arranged a pick up by the hotel taxi (BT600) from the airport and greeted with iced water and cool towels which was a nice touch.
The room was lovely and spacious and bed was big and comfy (and the air-con a necessity!).
Was concerned about the outdoor bathroom before arriving but it was fine. There was no hot water but that wasn't really a problem as it was so hot! There was a citronella burner in the bathroom but were only provided with one tealight and these were not replaced (but luckily I'd taken some anti-mossie coils which seems to keep the beasties at bay). Bathroom towels were changed daily.
The pool was fab and long enough to do lengths if you felt energetic. The views were beautiful. The towels provided for the pool loungers was a massive bonus (and I'd recommend to tip the pool guy on day one).
The hotel breakfast was awesome. Lots of choice and eggs cooked to perfection whichever way you wanted.
We had lunch many times in the hotel restaurant and the food was always excellent.
We enjoyed happy hour daily at the pool bar between 6-7pm, where it was BOGOF on cocktails/beers (although you had to have two of the same).
Our only issue was on two mornings we found there was no water in our villa. On calling Reception we were told they were fixing the issue and it was always resolved within an hour or two.
Before arriving, I'd read some reviews about the stray dogs in the area but I needn't have been worried as they kept themselves to themselves

We spent our vacation in Santibury with my wife and hotel met our expectations and even more. Very green territory, excellent service in rooms and beach and restaurants, silent and relaxing leasure. Our villa was placed in silent place around green garden and there were nothing to improve in our familiy holidays. Santibury located bit far from many party and night club places as Chaweng. For someone it could be weakness, but for familiy relax we found everything we needed.

No doubt its one of the best around, facilities, service are top notch but there are LOTS of 5 star options in Thailand and this is certainly amongst the top 3 priciest. Is it great....yes, is it value for money... not so sure purely due to the amount of really top notch options in thailand these days. calculate 3 nights = 3500 USD thats Maldives prices
