Great place to stay in Magdeburg
The two best things about this hotel are the location (near the train station and good restaurants/bars) and the pool/fitness/sauna area. The piano bar in the lobby also had great cocktails.

Ice cold bath / shower water.
The reason I gave the lowest overall rating is that there was ZERO hot water in the shower. It was ice cold, meaning it was useless. Other than that, the hotel was great. However, an unusable shower is really unforgivable. At its essence, a hotel provides two basic functions: a bed to sleep on, and a warm shower upon waking. The rest is all extra. If a hotel cannot provide either of these two basic functions it fails.

Lieber Hotelgast, vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Aufgrund einer Störung der Stadtwerke Magdeburg gab es in unserem Stadtteil kein warmes Wasser. Leider konnten wir spontan nur noch mit Aushängen reagieren, um unsere Gäste so schnell wie möglich zu informieren. Schade, dass unser Haus nicht Ihren Vorstellungen entsprach. Wir verbleiben mit freundlichen Grüßen aus Magdeburg.

Business meets leisure
This feels like a business hotel rather than leisure, but we were there as tourists and had a great time. The room was nice and the beds comfortable. The staff was helpful when we had a transportation question. It's well-located, easy to get to from the train station, and near the major sights. The safe was large enough to fit the laptop, which is a great convenience.

Good standard for a business trip. Really bad internet availability in my room 459, there was a LAN cable but my laptop doesn't have this, better they make good internet available in all rooms by wifi. Otherwise nice stay

An outdated concept hotel
Reception staff were very unwelcoming, the room decor is dated, and the breakfast is expensive at €19. They provide free wifi but it is weak and slow so you have to pay for a premium service. e lobby area is a beautiful sight, but it is not backed up with a decent offer.
