The hotel and all amenities are outstanding. They had our room key waiting for us when we arrived. Check in took about 30 seconds! Cocktails were first rate!! Staff is very professional and friendly. We’ll stay here again.

Excellent location in Volos: a short walk to all the restaurants and cafes on the waterfront, yet convenient for a peaceful stay away from the city centre thoroughfare. Will be returning again!

This hotel is SOO OLD, dirty,bathroom is disgusting, took a showet with flip flops on,towels were yellow not white. Paid $ 400 for maybe 2 star hotel. Dont get fooled by the picture and dont stay there

Pleasant hotel.
Nice hotel located by the sea, and very close to city center. Quiet, even city-view rooms. Good parking area. Excellent breakfast and modern spa facilities. Attractive yacht club bar. However, hotel needs general upgrading, especially furniture & lighting renovations in public areas.

This is rated as a 5 star hotel. It is not. The hallway carpets are Stained and dirty. The waitresses in the 3rd floor bar could care less if you died of thirst. (They tried to give us a watered down ouzo. They reluctantly took it back when we complained) This is an old motel that was “renovated”. not quite right…

Our stay was great. Property was very nice. Check in easy. Room was very nice and comfortable and clean. Pool was great! Location was great for shopping and restaurants. Staff at front desk was very helpful and informative.

The property was very nice and the rooms were very comfortable. The area around the facility was a port and therefore not fabulous to walk around but I have seen worse.

Chose the hotel because of its great location. The hotel itself is very nice. Our room with a sea view was very nice. Unfortunately the bed is one large bed made from two singles pushed together and both mattresses were worn, sagging and we did not sleep well. The sheets appear to be of synthetic material versus a nice cotton. The hotel would receive a perfect review if the bed and bedding were better. A good sleep is the most important function of a hotel stay.

There is no way this is a 5 star hotel. Hardly a two star. The pool is next to the parking lot where anyone who can afford 6 Euros can use it. When we were there is was so crowded with all kinds of people. The room was so outdated, the entire hotel seemed to have stayed in the 80s and are very wear out. The corredor carpets to the room were disgustingly dirty. Service was low. The “Yacht Club” restaurant only offered a very limited menu. Service at the bar was ok. Would never go back there, there must be better choices at lower proces. Our visit really felt like a rip of with descriptions that don’t match and retouched pictures of the hotel.

Not so pleasant stay
This was supposed to be a 5 star hotel. I've stayed here years ago and remember how pleasant the hotel used to be. Presentable and comfortable. This trip was not even enjoyable. The hotel room was at most a 3 star, old and damaged furniture. The room was not clean for a Greek hotel standard. Breakfast was limited due to covid but understandable. The hallway leading to the room was in terrible shape with ripped up carpet and broken tiles. Disappointed that I paid almost $200 for barely a holiday inn standard hotel. Oh, and the gym is closed on the weekend.

Short stay in Xenia
We stayed for one night only on our way to Skiathos. The hotel is clean with nice beachfront location and and walking distance to the city centre. We recommend the yacht club on the second floor of the hotel, very nice place for drink/snack with great sea views…

Very nice hotel!
We got a room with a view to the beach. It was a really comfortable room. the room little dated, but in a very good condition, and all was very clean. Because of the covid, many hotels dont have buffet breakfast, here was the best way to serve buffet breakfast, you can see and ask the things that you want. There is a nice rooftop bar with food and its very nice to sit there on the evenings. The only thing that we didnt like is that they wanted us in the check out to pay for the water that they put on our room.

needs upgrading
Tired hotel, really needs a re-vamp/upgrade. Definitely not worth the star rating and totally overpriced. There are nicer hotels in the area!

A luxury experience
I usually visit this hotel because it provides a luxury accommodation. The location is absolutely fantastic near the town of Volos but also in front the sea.

Outstanding Hotel
The trip was amazing. The property is beautiful, the spa was nice, the service was outstanding. The people at the front desk were very helpful in helping me find my way around Volos. The food was great, and I don't think you can find a better view from the property. Looking out at the sea and the beach is pretty amazing.

Volos Greece Resort
It is a little difficult to get to due to numerous one way streets, but once you get to the property the parking is easy. Very clean, modern, very comfortable beds, and an awesome breakfast buffet. Well worth getting to the property overlooking the bay. Views of the mountains on the other side of the water makes an idyllic location in the city. Volos is also a tourist city so there are numerous bars and restaurants in the area for night life.

Very good hotel, by the seaside, comfortable and clean, not far from center town (20 min walk), close to restaurants and ferry harbor. Very good breakfast and services. Bad coffee... Honestly, I choose this hotel because of it's gym facilities, which I eventually did not even once visit during my 5 day stay in Volos! Why? Check it out: they open the gym and wellness zone from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., or normally you would prefer visiting and travelling during these hours, when on holiday. So I had to keep running and jogging earlier in the morning throughout the coast and the lovely levee, a total of 7-8 km long, which wasn't bad at all.

Super hotel by the sea for visiting Volos
Really enjoyed our stay here and exploring Volos, there are lots of bars and restaurants close by and of course it is right on the coast.

The swimming pool did not belong to the hotel, though they had an interest in it but it closed at 7pm and did not reopen until 10.30am and most of the clientele were locals not hotel guests and I didn't witness anyone use the shower! Food was excellent served, served either indoors or in the garden but the hotel was almost full and yet the families did not eat there. The bedroom was well fit up and it was a comfortable nights stay.

Lovely situation by the beach and within easy walking distance of main harbour strip of restaurants and coffee houses. Hotel is comfortable, with great views in the common areas such as breakfast and bars. Staff friendly, helpful and professional. Beds were very comfortable, the sea view rooms were booked out but the city view were fine and had a v small private balcony. We would have stayed again but it was fully booked for the night we wanted to return.

The hotel is great. Location close to waterfront makes for a nice daily stroll into the town center. Lovely view of mt pilion from rooftop bar is awesome at night. We’ve stayed multiple times before since we have family in the area. Our only complaint is that the carpeting in the hallways is a disgrace. Got to be changed ASAP.

Quiet Location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Xenia Volou. Comfortable rooms and an excellent choice at breakfast. Ideal for all ages. The hotel has lovely views of the bay and the mountains and an excellent open air swimming pool with plenty of loungers and deckchairs, and a small children's playground adjacent to it for little ones, as well as access to a small beach. In a quiet location on the waterfront and very close to restaurants, coffee shops, and the local park. n addition to the hotel's children's playground, there are another two within 2 minutes' walk on a traffic-free road near the restaurants. Everywhere in Volos is walkable, but the hotel is close to local buses.
