Nice Hotel

Posted Apr 7, 2015
i came here for a business trip. The staff is very friendly. the breakfast is great! you do not need to leave the hotel for a good breakfast. The room was clean. I would compare this to a Holiday Inn, maybe better. I definitely would come back to this hotel.

Average (at best) hotel in bland neighbourhood

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Cons: Yes: Replace windows so they can be opened!
Location: The hotel is in a pretty boring area. There is nothing to do, and we only went there because it was too expensive elsewhere.
The windows could not be opened, and the A/C was very noisy. That means either you have sticky air, or you suffer from A/C noise. Breakfast is poor. Everything else is average. Staff is nice.

Street Noise kept my daughter and I up All night

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Hotel was in nice enough condition, but we did Not get any sleep. Although our room was located a few doors down from the street side of the hotel AND we were on the 3rd floor, the building is so poorly insulated that the traffic on the nearby street kept us up all night!!! There were also ants in our room and bathroom upon arrival.

They really do take pets this includes cats.

They really do take all pets including cats. (At no charge at that). We tried so many other hotels that advertised pets welcome, just to get told no cats. For anyone who travels as I do and your pets are your children that is truly troubling. This place was absolutely amazing and such a blessing with my travels. I highly recommend.

Tipcial Hotel

Posted Dec 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a short stay but overall it was good. Got in at 8 pm and found no restaurants opened. Not a lot around the hotel but fast food. Hotel was clean and was the room. The free breakfast in the morning (buffet) was good.

Wi-Fi needs help

Posted Dec 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was clean, easy to locate. It does sit on a busy road so a room away from the road is a wise request. The only item I had an issue with (as being away on business) was the internet. To say it was sporadic is an understatement, if I was in the lobby or outside my room in the hall way, I could receive a farely decent Wi-Fi signal, however in my room was not good. So if there is one thing that needs upgrading by the hotel is the Wi-Fi in-room service. If that is not important to you the hotel and staff will meet your needs for this star rated hotel.

Nice and clean, bring earplugs if light sleeper.

Posted Dec 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel in Magnolia, very close to the Renaissance Festival. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable, serviceable room with nice conveniences but no bells and whistles. Was what we needed and expected for the price. My only issue - if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. I had to get an early start so went to bed at 9:30 PM. I couldn't hear neighbors through the walls, but I could hear everything out in the hallway from one end to the other. Conversations, noisy kids running and doors opening and closing kept waking me up. The doors really seem to conduct and amplify sound in an unusual way.

Last minute booking.

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Heating/AC unit was falling apart. I had to trying an put the front cover back on.
Location: Close to the Texas Renaissance Festival fairgrounds.
Booked this hotel at the last minute. Hotel was close to the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds. I thought the rate was high compared to the quality of the room. I think the owner took advantage of the room shortages to make a higher profit.
