Simply put, everything was absolutely perfect! The sea and the beach were unbelievable, the staff was friendly and caring, the resort terrific without being posh.

"Excellent - Would come back"
The hotel staff (for that matter, all the people of the Seychelles) were really genuinely friendly and helpful. Eden Island was an easy 10 minute taxi from the aiport. Our Appartment was overlooking the marina on one side, and on the other was to the gardens (behind which was the beach - 60 second walk). Facilities within the appt were excellent, and with a number of restaurants at Eden Plaza (as well as a small supermarket), had everything you needed to either eat out, cook in, make a few sandwiches for your hike around the island, prepare a picnic for that secluded beach elsewhere on the island, or do a bbq. Electric buggies (golf carts) are provided to get to and from the villas/appts to the plaza or go to another beach on the island. Easy to hire a car for the day (and drop off at the airport on departure) There was no WiFi at present at the appt, but the Havana Cafe (Eden Plaza) do free wifi if you buy something. They also have a live band playing on Wed evenings which is particularly good (their guitarist is superb). Downsides: (i) still some construction going on, but not that noisy - usually between 9am to 2pm. (ii) On the flight path to the airport, but with only a few flights landing per day (most taking off towards the sea), it's not exactly Heathrow Airport. Would we come back: Yes definitely.

"Fantastic Hotel"
An absolutely superb hotel. True 5 star ; rooms were modern (well the hotel is new!), well appointed, very friendly and attentive staff, incredible location nestled behind the tree lined 'promenade' in front of Beau Vallon beach. The week we were there was VERY quiet (last week), but that suited us great. Not sure it is the best place for families with teenagers as little to do other than lounge around and enjoy the experience. Only minor glitch was the quality and convenience of the free wi-fi (slow and you had to re-enter login in details every time you wanted to use).
