“So comfortable, such a lovely place”

We had a room in the newly renovated 'Bell Lodge' - a simple semi-detached bungalow with 4 rooms in our section. Stylish in a simple retro way, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and gorgeous soft pillows. Good breakfast (though bacon wasn't crispy) and a really good place to stay. The village f Hurley is lovely, good walks to the river and along to Henley.

Great little hotel in a fantastic old world English location. Stay in a refurbished room type.

“A relaxing place to stay”

The Ye Olde Bell offers a relaxing and quaint visit to a quiet country village. The easy walk to the River Thames offers good scenery and lots of fresh air. The hotel serves good food and is popular among the locals for a long lazy lunch or afternoon drink. A good old fashioned hotel for families or couples. Prices are not cheap and there is little variation to the menu but a good place for a short stay.

“Not impressed”

Our hotel room was clean, the bathroom only had a shower and this was a disabled shower and not what I would expect for this type of hotel and the cost. We had lunch in the restaurant next to a family who were celebrating a birthday, they complained about two of the food dishes and the manageress starting arguing with them about 'good food going to waste' before making them wait 30 mins for something else. The hotel was short staffed and you had to wait ages for breakfast and any kind of service in the restaurant. The food I had was good when it eventually came. Check what room you are staying in if you book this hotel and don't upset the staff by complaining about anything and be prepared to wait if you want to eat there! The location and setting of the hotel is very good.
