Absolutely lovely!Posted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Dog friendly. Great public areas. Great breakfast.
Location: Walking distance is a lovely collection of chain and independent eateries in a lovely suburban area on the outskirts of Madrid.
Great place just perfect for a stop-over. Topped by really professional staff who were very obliging. We just couldn't fault the place.

A good hotel, but is it in the right place?Posted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Clean, medium sized and therefore not at all crowded. Comfortable beds, bidet included in the bathroom suite, and a premium supply of toiletries.
Cons: Need info in the room on use of phone! ALL TV channels were in Spanish - some variety needed! Only a small restaurant with limited menu.
Location: The hotel is in a large business area with a few fast food outlets several minutes walk away. There is nothing to do near by.
I needed to visit somewhere quite north of Madrid itself, so the Majahonda was a convenient place to meet up with other colleagues. However, the common story was that none of the taxi drivers we used from Madrid Airport knew where the suburb of Majahonda was, let alone the Majahonda Hotel. It is indeed hard to find - motorways going this way and that - you'll need your wits about you to find the right one and the correct exit (and maybe tell the taxi driver). The hotel is fine, but in the middle of a business centre with very little if anything to do in the vicinity. A good night's stop-over is all the location offers.
