Together with my two sisters and my husband, we st20ayed at the hotel for two nights from Jan 18-20.. The hotel was located within walking distance to the shopping areas like Palawan Shopping Mall, Parkson, onker Street, etc. The room was spacious and clean.
We had dinner at the Seri Nyonya Peranakan Restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the hotel on your first night. The food was so authentic and delicious that we had to go back for dinner again on the 2nd night. We enjoyed the Ayam Ponteh and the Fried Fish with chilli paste. The only disappointment was that the restaurant charged us for the sambal balachan @ RM4.00. I feel they should have provided this to us at no cost.
Forget about swimming in the pool as the water is icy cold. Will definitely book this hotel again on our next trip to Malacca. Hopefully, we could have our room upgraded to the Equator Club Room as we are quite anxious to know the difference in both the Deluxe and Equator Club room

Very happy with the high floor room. We were given complimentary drink in the fridge and what I like most was having my breakfast at the sky lounge. We enjoyed the privacy and also the morning breeze while having our breakfast.

A lovely break from KL. The hotel was clean but the pool was very small and disappointing. When checking in the woman spent more time on the phone rather than talking to us. Good location as was quiet but still easy to access the main tourist areas.

Excellent location, comfortable bed and large room. Great view of the Straights, and wonderful swimming pool and breakfast. Highly recommended, request a noon adjoining room if you prefer a quiet stay. Would return in a heartbeat!

Melaka is a very friendly city and the welcome at the Casa del Rio is a fantastic introduction to what lies ahead. The rooms are large, comfy and have all the amenities that you would need for a comfortable stay - and more! The river view room and private balcony were great, breakfast was fresh and plentiful. All the major sites are within walking distance and the professional and friendly staff are a joy. The hotel room service staff are so efficient, you don't even notice them arrive to do their job. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and came away feeling super relaxed.

The reception had a little problem tracing my online booking but was resolved within 15min. The moment we stepped into our room at the 6th Storey, we like the clean and tidy room. The average room size is as expected of any standard 4-stars hotel and amenities include safe box, kettle completed with coffee/tea, iron with ironing board, TV and A/C with full self-adjustment panel for the temperature and fan speed. We stayed for 3 nights with free breakfast and newspaper at the door each morning. Breakfast was pleasingly good enough for a 4-stars hotel. Hotel staffs are polite and helpful. There is ample free parking surrounding the hotel, which is located at a good distance away from surrounding buildings - pleasingly quiet.

Good stay overall. Room was very clean and had modern concept. Some trouble at reception during check in (Room release delayed and slow) but staff were courteous to help. The sky bar in the hotel seemed to be a hot spot which resulted in no vacant parking lots for guests. We had to park by the road and re- park after 4am. Breakfast was ok. Strategic location- near to town, Portuguese settlement and many restaurants around the premises. Overall a pleasant stay and will surely recommend this hotel.
