Certainly not a 4 star, apartment clean, balcony not. No bar at all in property,very run down needs extensive refurbishment. There are permanent residents in hotel judging by balconies with plants and bbqs and rubbish. The staff are tremendous and not at fault at all. Not suitable for families more suited to workmen, stag weekends etc.

Lovely pool, furniture dated tho, nice big 5th floor apartment with sea view, comfortable beds ,basic kitchen ware ,apartment wasn't very clean ,housekeeping needs a bit of training, breakfast usual hot/cold buffet ,overall we would stay here again ,value for money.

It was fine altho the breakfast was disappointing, not much of a selection and the times need to be longer-people are on holiday and don’t want to have to rush to finish breakfast by 10am. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and friendly staff.

Dont expect a four star hotel
Breakfast was very poor. Not much choice. Definitely not a four star, not even three. The waiter (male) was very rude to me. The room was nice, however, to get a bath you had to use the shower nozzle to fill it . ! One day , we returned to our room and the maid was cleaning it. But there was another woman in there , chatting to her ( not a maid ) with a child who was running around in there. I was not impressed.

Always stay here when in Benalmadena, for the last 4years, value for money, clean, comfortable,excellent staff from reception to breakfast, nothing to much trouble,,added plus beautiful swimming pool.

17 nights = 1 sheet change. Bathroom constantly smelled like urine. Food okay, but was recycled a few too many times though. Pool area great and well maintained. Eventually found the mini golf in ill repair behind the hotel. Salvador the maintenance guy did repair a few wee problems. Front desk people great, on the ball and informative. Needs money spent on an upgrade. Perhaps a thorough inspection of each unit after the guests leave by maintenance and housekeeper pers to identify/correct things like lights/ wall plugs etc. might help.

Good for the price but definitely needs updating staff generally rude except the night time reception man who was always sweet to us. Beds are basic, furniture is old and worn. I wouldn’t stay here for a long trip but it did the job for 3 days.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on the end of July 2022 Bad points: Hardly any staff around, Some receptionists are very rude, Didn’t clean the room unless we asked for it and didn’t provide fresh towels unless we asked, Didn’t see any staff around in the hotel only in the reception, No telephones to contact reception from room, Room was advertised with Wi-Fi , sea view and hot drinks but there was none, Very poor customer service in fact one of the receptionists declined giving an extra clean towel, Definitely not a 4star hotel as advertised, I wouldn’t even give it 3 stars Quality of breakfast was really low and hardly any selection in comparison to other 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in Good points: Only the location is good

Dirty rooms had to move , dodgy electrics rude staff all just seemed fed up , no bar at all in the hotel not one that was open any way and pool was dirty

The hotel is a lovely place The rooms are very basic but large, they do have the facility to be used for self catering should you wish They do have breakfast as part of your stay which does cover a wide choice of food.... So will suit most tastes..... , its positioned just off the beach, which is good if you just want to lay on the beach all day The staff were very polite and helpful when needed, nothing was ever too much, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a base for there holiday stay......

No way a 4 star... more like a 1/2
Its run on a shoe string. The only staff were 2 receptionists and 2 cleaners. Rooms dont have kettles or toasters, we had 1 cup and 1 pint glass hardy anything else. The wifi didn't work. The sunbeds around the pool are a mis match a few new ish ones, rest were so old and filthy. Theres no restaurant or shop as it states on it website. Not worth your hard earn cash, look for something better. You have be WARNED ⚠️

The review: Positives: staff are positive and friendly and i would give them a 9/10. Neg:this is a old outdated hotel, i didnt have wifi in my room, the noises from the other rooms was loud as you could hear furniture scraping up until late hour's (all they have to do us sound proof the bottom of chair and table legs). I was cold the first night, extremely as i couldnt work out how heating worked. Bring your own cooking utensils, washing up liquid etc too. The cleaning staff left my door open and i couldnt find some money i had on the table, im not accusing anyone but im sure i may have had it on the table and why leave my door adjar after cleaning im lucky no other bigger items were missing?? Its very basic and the owners of the hotel really should invest to modernise, new beds/mattresses, better decor,better pillows and duvets but again its ok for a very very short stop. Other positive: next to burger king, and a large type supermarket adjacent to the petrol station. The beach is just opposite and easy to walk to and from places. You can catch the train from the airport to Arryo De Miel and then get a taxi will be alot cheaper than 30eur taxi all the way, which was my mistake or walk is 30 mins from the train station. I have mixed review, sorry i wanted to be more positive for the staff as they are very professional, kind, polite and so helpful with anythings, even if you are feeling stressy about things not working they can at least be okay to talk with you.

We are regular clients at Vistamar Hotel. The rooms are fine, the views are good, the price is right. A friendly cat welcomes guests at the entrance. Looking forward to coming again

Only if cheap is your highest priority
You get what you pay for. In this case I wish I had paid a bit more. Horrible sound insulation between rooms. Air conditioning was full blast or nothing. Had the feel of being abandoned.
