Found the front of house team on reception to be quite rude. They made us feel completely unwelcome as we were checking in, making negative comments about us just staying one night. We had also rang ahead to confirm which day we would use the full board lunch and we were advised we could use it on either the day we checked in or checked out. When I mentioned this at check-in I was told this wasn't policy and was repeatedly asked who I'd spoken to on the phone despite me saying I hadn't got a name. I then rang again when, on getting back to my room in the evening the room was unbearably hot. I couldn't get the air-con to work. I rang reception, who told me, again very rudely, that it wasn't working and there was nothing they could do. We ended up sleeping with the balcony door open all night and all of us were completely bitten by mosquitos in the morning. By contrast the restaurant and kids' club team (Sofia especially) were AMAZING. Super-friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice but overcrowded, especially as it was off-season. Can't imagine what it would be like in August! The main restaurant was a nice setting and the food was good in the buffet. The lunch we had in the pool bar however was HORRENDOUS. I got a prawn and mango salad, which was - shockingly - made from tinned mangoes and frozen prawns with a sickly-sweet dressing. The patatas bravas and fries were undercooked. We left the lot.

Our staff is usually described as friendly and helpful and we sincerely regret any moment to the contrary. We are glad to hear that you found the staff in the restaurant and the Miniclub to be helpful. The air-conditioning is centralized and set to heating in the winter. The last couple of days were a little warmer than usual; however the temperatures have already dropped again to 20ºC maximum and 11 to 14ºC at night. With these temperatures most of our guests prefer the heating, which is also what we advertise. Nevertheless we thank you for your point of view and will keep this in mind. We also regret that the food in the pool bar was not to your liking and that you did not inform us about this whilst you were here, in order to find and possible solution for you and improve your stay.Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. Dated property. Rooms had no coffee machine, would have to rent for 18€a day if wanted. To use an iron or steamer you had to pay a deposit. At the restaurant they charge you for a glass of water. Dinner only option is a less than mediocre buffet. Lunch was sit down and fairly good. There is absolutely nothing around the hotel so to get any good food you need a car or to use taxi.

Dear Roberta,Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking time to share your opinion and for rating us.We sincerely regret that your short break did not live up to your expectations, despite us making sure that your request for a double bed was met.A coffee machine is included in Privilege rooms, Junior Suites and Ocean Junior Suites. In all other room categories this is an optional extra, currently available for 10 per day with daily replenishment. We do not have irons. We offer either an ironing service or indeed a steamer, which can be collected at reception against a deposit, which is returned in full when the steamer is returned.Water is available in the restaurant only in bottles, it is not sold by the glass. You may also get water free of charge from the dispensers in Thalassa Restaurant (08:30-19:00) or in the lobby bar (0:00-24:00). Furthermore, our H10 members will find fruit and water in their room upon arrival. Our buffet restaurant Alborán is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alternatively at lunch time there is also the a la carte restaurant Thalassa by the pool and twice a week we offer special dinners with table service in the Thalassa restaurant. These special dinners have to be reserved with our customer service. Our hotel is located on the beachfront, with direct access to the pebble beach as well as to a stretch of beach side promenade. We are about 1.5km from the port of Estepona with its bars and restaurants and 2.5km from the old town. There is a public bus that leaves 150m from the hotel every 40 minutes and stops at in the port as well as in the old town amongst other stops. Alternatively our guests may rent bikes at our reception, where we will also be happy to call you a taxi.Please know that it has been a pleasure to have you with us. Not worth the money.
Hotel is old and tatty, no complimentary water in room. No iron, only steamers that you can use. Basically they want to force you to use the ironing service which is expensive. Certainly not a good four star hotel. More like 3 star plus. Paid over the odds for this hotel in October. Won’t be coming back.

The hotel is on the water and it has easy access also to AU7. Breakfast is excellent and I highly recommend taking this option as there is no coffee maker in the room. I was surprised that they charged me for using the safe box. This is a 4star hotel and you would expect that it be included in the price. Parking was €15 a day and there were some empty spots to park outside. However, the street is super narrow.

A complete train wreck
Where to start? About $400/night in little Estepona, certainly not Marbella. We arrived in room, no coffee maker, no water…ok, can live with that. But theft-proof fifty cent hangers?!? Painted shrubs? Ca. 1975 scratched-up furniture? No. Also, in fifty years of world travel, I’ve never seen a daily charge for the use of the room safe! Wife went on terrace to relax and closed door behind her and was LOCKED OUT! If she had no phone, she would have had to scream for help. Just imagine. Hotel’s entry driveway choked with cars and we were trapped behind these selfish slobs for 20 minutes. Management response? “Family checking in - no problem, senor.” No bellman, no one controlling this parking disaster. Food was just ok, buffet style, corporate cafe ambience. Ugggh. When we tried to eat in the separate table-served dining room, we were very, very rudely told “NO TABLES!” Same surly attitude from most of the staff. Tried to get a bucket of ice at the bar to chill a bottle wine: “NO BUCKET!” Only a plastic glass of ice at a time! And though I love children, organized kids’ activities go on at all hours, even dinner, at ear-splitting volume. An absolutely hopeless hotel not worth $200/night. Entire staff and management should be summarily fired and the hotel sold to someone who knows what they’re doing. Please! Meantime, pay whatever you have to but DON’T stay at this disaster

H10 Estepona Summer Holidays
This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. It is a 20 min walk to the Marina and a 40 min walk to the centre of Estepona & Taxis were easily got through reception and cost ~€7 to get into town. The all-inclusive drinks selection was top class- we loved that we there was a gluten free beer included in this selection. The room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic- it was an over bath shower but that was fine for us. Others have mentioned the sun lounger situation, Yes, people go down early and pick their spots, but there are always plenty of beds for everyone. The pool attendants bring more out as they are required. There is also the option of using the beds on the beach which was only a few meters away. Having a water dispenser and encouraging people to use re-fillable water bottles & also giving re-usable plastic beakers for poolside drinks rather than disposable cups/glasses were great example of the Hotels "Green" initiatives. Some areas for improvement- The pool bar was chaotic at times. While everyone was working very hard (shout out to Alejandro) you always had to wait an extremely long time to get served for food or drink. The buffet restaurant had a great selection but no allergens identified. They were more than happy to walk us through the Gluten free oevery meal (Thanks Mabel) & the options were plentiful once pointed out. For breakfast there really should be a selection of Gluten free items available to choose

The hotel was beautiful looking, like a sand castle. Our room was spacious, very large for a hotel room with a nice balcony. The breakfast buffet was very nice, however the food options the rest of the day were very limited and disappointing. The food in town however was amazing, definitely go into town, not the harbor restaurants. Parking was terrible, dirt lot across the street with not enough space to fit the cars. The worst part was the beach. The "sand" was more like gravel and could not be walked on. The first 5 week of the ocean was all rocks. One you got out in the water, there was sand, but get there requires good water shoes. Water was also colder than I expected. I was also shocked to see topless women at the hotel only beach. Not a good place for kids.

Two of them are right next to reception. So no need to walk the stairs if you don’t want to. The day time temperatures have been unusually high for this time of year and we regret any discomfort, despite that at night they still dropped to 12 to 14ºC. Nevertheless we are pleased to say that, now that the temperatures seem to get more stable, the system is being switched over to cooling. There were some refurbishment works going on but they did their best to keep noise to a minimum and there was generally no mess. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel facilities are very nice with a lovely pool open on the beach! Serving really nice cocktails. The staff on the other hand let the whole thing down from the get go, from the miserable reception staff, to the rude waiters and bartenders. Would AVOID at all costs as it made the holiday miserable. Not a 4* hotel don't even have a kettle in the room and you also have to pay for the safe. All inclusive and won't even give water after the bar closes.

A good hotel
The room was spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was fresh and varied. My only gripe would be the pool area. There was very little place available for such a large hotel and the limited space was taken up by guests reserving sunbeds with towels from very early in the morning and then not appearing. Maybe a bit more control exercised by the staff would lead to a fairer system. Speaking of towels, you could only change wet pool towels for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon and only once per day. A few more hours and more than one change would be good. The hotel in general was good and clean but the carpets in the corridor could to with a change or removed all together as they were showing signs of wear and badly stained on some places. The staff was good and attentive. I would like to single out one particular member of staff who was absolutely wonderful. If the hotel management reads this, I would like to commend Irene from the waiting staff. She is an absolute gem. She is professional, courteous, kind and extremely friendly and she really made our stay special. Well done Irene!!!

Great hotel
Lovely room, beautiful views from the hotel. The outdoor pool was great but I like a swim before breakfast and the pool did not open until 10am. The breakfast was fantastic. We enjoyed the live entertainment.

Beautiful property, lovely views of the Mediterranean. Food was excellent with plenty of choices. Staff very friendly and helpful with requests. Two employees in charge of entertainment, Victor and Aurelio, did a fabulous job with both the kids and adults. Property is a little far from Malaga but worth the visit.

Stayed in H10 Hotels before and this one really lets the Hotel chain down. The hotel is very dated and isn't managed properly. General reception areas were dirty including the buffet room. Breakfast was chaotic and not at all organised. Food tasted horrible with cheap ingredients, coffee was undrinkable. Staff looked miserable probably because people complaining constantly. Asked for money for extras that you would expect to be included room safe, beach towels. Very poor! I wouldn't stay again and has put me off staying in any future H10 Hotels.

The safe is included in Privilege rooms, Junior Suites and Ocean Suites, along with another series of benefits. The money for the towels is a deposit, for which our guests get a receipt. Once they return the towels, the deposit is returned in full. In order to have the safe as well as bathrobe and slippers, coffee machine, courtesy minibar, etc. included, you might want to try one of our boutique hotels, where these are standard in all rooms, or book a Privilege room in any of our other hotels. Good stay.
Hotel is fine but perhaps beginning to show its age in parts. Staff were on the whole friendly and efficient. Great position and pleasant pool area though beach would need some work to make it usable, strange for a hotel whose beach front location should be a key selling point.

Basic room with no double bed. We asked to change but any change was an extra 20euro per night. On day two construction started on the floir above our room and after complaining we were moved. I would not stay here again staff were not very nice and every request was an extra fee.

We do aim to fulfil requests, but this largely depends on occupancy and is not always possible. Also, when various requests are involved, such as type of bed, shower or bathtub, lower, middle or upper floors, etc. sometimes one request has to give way in order to fulfil the other. The change available at the time, which was meeting with your request, was for a higher category room, which does come with a supplement. Your reservation was for a standard room and we regret that this did not meet up with your expectations. Our standard rooms are the basic rooms, which hence come with the basics. Higher category rooms such as Privilege rooms, Ocean Suites and Junior Suites all have such things as sea views, safe, bathrobe, slippers, coffee machines etc. included. we stayed overnight as were we were attending the Andalusian masters at Valdarrama. we chose the hotel for location. Only thing not perfect in the room was lack of electric sockets and the plug for the bidet was too big so the bidet could not fill up with water- also no bidet towel we enjoyed breakfast and we slept well
