Excellent for the price

Posted Apr 30, 2015 on Hotels
Spotlessly clean, perfectly situated hotel. Manuel is a wonderfully helpful, pleasant owner/manager. Excellent for short stays, easy to find, very safe, just a stroll from main shopping streets, but quiet. Wonderful selection of teas for breakfast, plus percolated coffee, croissants, rolls, brown and white crispbreads, butter, jam. Basic, very big room but with fridge and air conditioning, two single beds, desk, chair, television with Spanish channels. Endless supply of hot water. Plentiful supply of towels, sheets. No complaints to make. I stayed for two weeks. I would recommend it for stays of up to one week, as there are no cooking facilities (obviously, for the price). I highly recommend this hotel.

Trevligt, enkelt o prisvärt

Posted Apr 25, 2015 on Hotels

Fabulous Nerja

Posted Apr 10, 2015 on Hotels
What a bargain £100 approx. for double room for five nights room only, with small fridge.Very clean hostel/hotel, a 10 minute easy walk to balcon area and sea front.Nerja is a lovely maze of narrow streets with something different around every corner.Get a tapas trail map off tripadvisor and you can eat for free all day if you wish when buying a drink.Visited Frigliana on the local bus,2euro return, fantastic Spanish village with superb mountain views but hilly.Only downside of hotel casa manuel is the noise of scooters on the street, but you could ask for a court yard room out the back.Breakfast was very basic but filled the gap before going out.

This is a small hotel that was a bit hard to find. The name is on the building, but it is easy to miss. It is on an older street, but the area nearby is fine. Limited desk hours, but the staff was friendly. It's a 15 minute pleasant downhill walk to the water with many small restaurants and bars along the way. Room w/bathroom was small and older, but was very adequate. They provide free parking a few streets away, but we lucked into a street spot nearby.

the Hostal is ten minutes away from the beach and main resort. It is situated in the Spanish area of town. ideal, for practising the Spanish language. Hostal Casa Manuel provides everything but the kitchen. There is a shop attached where one can buy herbal teas and all the condiments for tea making. There is a laundry service for 2 Euro and irons are supplied. There is a breakfast room with a small courtyard where one can meet other travellers. The rooms are spacious and some with balconies. The bathroom has a bath and shower, which is needed in winter months. The Wfi works well and no problems with connection. The receptionist is very helpful and with a smile!

Lovely clean hostal with much needed air con!

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Fantastic little hostal very close to the main area of shops, bars etc and near to the main square. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels, air con was great and unexpected for the low price of the hostal. Would definitely recommend.
