€15 for a coffee & pastry but rude manager free!

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Nice big rooms/comfortable bed/nice and clean
Cons: A new manager and no ants in the room and bed!
Location: You will need a car, although only few minutes drive to town
What a shame......the hotel was nice and most staff polite, however, if you are looking for flexibility, a coffee in your room (or anywhere actually in the hotel) and a manager that is prepared to listen to your feedback - don't come here! After arriving at midnight we were desperate for a coffee but there was none provided in our room ( only tea). We waited for breakfast and was told that if you do not pre book, the buffet breakfast is €15. We said that we only wanted a quick coffee and croissant as were in a rush and was sent to the restaurant to speak to them. Again they said we had no choice but to pay the full amount even if we just wanted a coffee. We said that that wasn't very flexible and was there anywhere in the hotel where we could get a coffee and only pay for what we have. The answer was no. We were told to sit down and the manager would come to see us. After a coffee and pastry, we were promptly presented with a bill for €30 for two of us. We went to see the manager and explained the situation that we were happy to pay for what we had but there was NO discussion, understanding or flexibility with him whatsoever. Infact, I have never been spoken to in such a demeaning, rude and dismissive manner. He was not prepared to make any compromise at all and refused to believe that providing coffee in the room is usually standard, as well as being able to provide an alternative to a full €15 buffet. He begrudgliny said we could pay €10 pp which is the pre booked rate.

Pros: The size of the room
Cons: A double bed, kettle that could be plugged in from table height and not on the floor, and more vegetarian option for breakfast ie veg sausages
Location: Hotel depends on your reason for staying, as we were there for a wedding, hotel was chosen, there is nothing close by
Long drive to hotel we arrived very late, we were welcomed by a really nice receptionist who checked us in explained as best as she could where things where located by showing us a map of the hotel which was not very clear. We were then showed to our room by her colleague which was very thoughtful.( I don't think we would of found our room) Room size was great, the only negatives no plug close by for kettle we had to put it on the floor and there it stayed for the duration of our stay, in our room we only had two TV channels in English which were the news this was extremely disappointing. Food overall not to bad only negative not much choice if you don't eat pork. Hotel very nice but would not stay here if it were our choice. We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding about 30mins away. We wouldn't choose this hotel as there is nothing close by unless you drive as unable to walk anywhere. Our journey back was horrendous we were picked up by the shuttle bus at 16.55pm and didn't arrive at malaga airport until 19.45pm it may even have been later than that. We found that very uncomfortable. Apart from the negative things overall we had a good time.

A very relaxing holiday

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The room was great - big, marble, quiet AC, staff very helpful (though their English can be patchy), four swimming pools, excellent buffet breakfast.
Cons: The hotel is too far from the town to walk and taxis are 15 Euros. Hotel shuttle only one 8 seater van at 10am and 5pm, both too early to be useful.
Location: The old town of Estepona is well worth looking round and has a great sandy beach. Check out the Havana beach bar and the Sunday marina market.
The hotel is very nice - built in 2010 so all brand new, and everything worked well. The staff are lovely and helpful. The grounds are picturesque, and we had a very relaxing time there. The hotel backs onto the beach, and it is possible to walk to Estepona along it (past a nearby nudist beach). It takes about 45 minutes - wear beach shoes as it gets rocky. The dinner buffet is very good, but a little pricey at 23 Euros per person. Restaurants in town are tasty, atmospheric, and often cheaper, though it costs 15 Euros each way to get a taxi (too far to walk for a night out, and there is not a continuos pavement). A hire car would be a good investment, and would allow one to explore the area more easily. Note: the hotel can book excursions - do ask. The "Spanish Night" horses / flamenco excursion comes recommended. The hotel's evening entertainment is best suited to families. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would go back. P.S. the breakfast buffet is definitely worth having - amazing choice!

Nice hotel, very family orientated.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Good size room, good comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
Cons: Please turn down the volume on the children's entertainers. Painful!
Location: The entrance to the hotel off the motorway could be clearer, easily passed.
Good size room, noises children's activity, every evening unnecessarily amplified. Food generally good, except in last hour of dinner the staff were clearing the tables to get them ready for breakfast ? Difficult to find set table. Also some of the variety ran out. When I wanted food cooked the staff always were unnecessarily mean with the portion.

This hotel is nicely located and the bed were confortables. Costa Del Sol hotels are expensive and you're getting a nice hotel and you don't need to pay too too much. Great quality/price. The garden is not that nice and you need to pay for everything tennis, table tennis, etc with for all the activites,..they are chargin for everything. Room were clean. The balcony not that nice..

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. Excellent accommodation, nice sea view, very helpful staff and a great breakfast buffet. A bit pricey but highly recommended.

A really lovely hotel!

Posted May 28, 2014
We came away for a friends 40th and had a brilliant time. The suites are really big and have everything you need. A really clean and spacious resort. The views from the balcony and fabulous!! Breakfast was lovely. The only negative is that you have to get a taxi to go anywhere as the hotel is not near anything (other than a nudist beach) but didn't take too long to get into Estepona. Would highly recommend to a group that wants a relaxing break.

Beautiful hotel with great location by beach

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: See above--spacious beautiful rooms, great view, nice outside patio, lovely bathroom.
Location: We used this hotel as a stop-over before venturing on to Gibraltar. We regret that we did not take more time and spend it here. Nice atmosphere.
The rooms were very spacious and beautiful. We had a lovely view of the ocean from our outside patio. The bathroom was exceptionally nice. It was huge and had 2 separate sinks so each person could have their own area. The entire resort was just gorgeous. I would highly recommend.

Nice hotel close to beach

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Lovely room, great view facing the sea, we had an apartment so had the best of both worlds, staff friendly, prices reasonable, good atmosphere
Cons: Evening buffet dinners good quality but fairly bland
Location: Car essential unless you want to stay in the hotel and immediate beach area. Dual carriage way behind the hotel not suitable for walking.
Check in (and out) quick and easy, ideal for lazing around the pool and the occasional stroll along the beach
