Nice hotel in central Fuengirola near beach.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Buffet breakfast good standard and choice.
Cons: The noise of the clubs I.e London Pub very loud going on until 7am!
Location: Very good
Nice hotel with good buffet breakfast near beach and train station. Noise from nightclubs very loud and went on until 7am but I guess not the fault of Las Palmeras, but the resort of Fuengirolia should understand the majority don't want this noise as part of their vacation and the clubbers should be kept in a sound proof club after a reasonable time like in Greece. Then everybody is accommodated!

Returning guestPosted Jun 9, 2013
Why does the swimming pool close so early and the way the lifeguard treat guests to get out.IIts the best part of the day and to get thrown out in the way he operates makes me think twice about returning.I have stayed at the hotel at least eight times. Also as a returning guest why do you not take e mail details and give returning guests promotional details of any deals

Stay AwayPosted May 20, 2013
Location: As far as being close to beaches restaurants etc. it was great as for the rest - see above
Room as requested had a balcony with a sea view over the Marina. What I had not bargained for having also requested a quiet room was that the it was at the front of the hotel in a side street directly opposite two all night clubs and a late night British pub. Our room was also directly above the bins which were in constant use all night with the bars and restaurants emptying their bottles and just when we thought it was all over at 05.30 they were emptied! I would also advise that I stayed at this hotel before about 7 years ago and the view from my room at the back of the hotel was a car park come scrap yard although the air con worked and it was quiet. This would appear to be a hotel where you can't have everything! Might not have been so bad if the air con had been working but despite several visits to reception my request for it to blow out cold air rather than warm was met by shrugs and vague promises to 'report it'. Needless to say it was still not working when we left however the same appeared to be true for the rest of the hotel with the exception of the kitchen. The staff all appeared to be surly and we felt that we were an inconvenience rather than a welcome guest. We will not be returning for a third visit.

Hotel is central and near to the beach.......Posted May 16, 2013
Pros: Didn't have any favourite things about this hotel to be honest.
Cons: It was huge, impersonal and air conditioning did not work. Staff I found were not particularly helpful, just shrugged their shoulders.
Location: Location (early May) was lovely. Near the beach, a few nice restaurants, but typically catering for the unadventurous English palet.
The Hotel Las Palmeras, was extremely big and to be honest, I am glad I wasn't staying there in the height of the season as it would have been extremely busy and very very noisy. As it was, it was quite when we were there in early May and as a result suited our needs. However, we were very fortunate in the weather 29-32 degress most days but unfortunately, the air conditioning, which is hotel controlled, was not on and therefore rooms at night were very humid and warm. When I asked at reception when it would be "fixed" he said that the air conditioning would not be on for another month. I had also booked a family room and was given a room with twin beds. When I asked at reception, I was told that "all the rooms are the same size and therefore if we wanted 2 more beds, they would have to fit them in". So if you are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), then your room would be very compact to say the least with 4 beds in it. We specifically booked a room at the back of the hotel, as having read the reviews I was led to believe that the rooms at the front of the hotel at night, could be disturbed with noise from The London Bar, directly across from the hotel. This was true and we had a room at the back, not a pleasant view but I value my sleep too much. We booked B & B and although the breakfast area was rather large, it had a selection of everything, so I could not fault it. Perhaps some fresh fruit, would be an advantage. The fruit on display was tinned.

Good for yoofsPosted May 11, 2013
Cons: Disco music from across the road.
Location: Very central
Be careful. If you have a room at the front of the hotel you have to enjoy disco music till 5 in the morning.

Las PalmerasPosted May 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great value for money. Hotel clean and ample. Rooms are good for a twin, nice bathroom, nearly as big as the room. If u want a quiet room ask to be at the rear as quite noisy from clubs and bars at the front unless u are one of them it doesn't matter where u are. Only thing I could take a moan at was the hot food at breakfast..... It's not hot and didnt change 4 mornings. There is certainly plea try to choose from but if its hot u want u wont get it

Balanced and Considerate ReviewPosted Apr 15, 2013
Pros: Dinner, friendly staff, good location
Cons: Cold swimming pool, Few English speaking TV channels,
Location: Very good! Close to the beach, with several other hotels creating a nice holiday atmosphere
For a 4 Star hotel, expectations were not too high but I believe the standard of a couple of facilities may should have been better. For instance there should have been modern TV devises with more English speaking sports/entertainment channels. Also, the Management should consider heating up the swimming pool. No point having a pool that is to cold to be used by anybody.
