Amazing hotel in a peaceful location

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Staff, gardens, food, location
Cons: Check the telephone number is correct on Expedia Better signage from Ronda Lights in the room were like floodlights
Location: Ronda - sightseeing, old town on a cliff top, ancient bridge, Marbella - Costa del Crime, the nearest beach Sevillle - flamenco and architecture
First thing it to note that you need to take the road from Ronda to Seville and then turn right at the 26km sign and then follow the signs to the hotel. Sat nav will take you on the 'scenic route'! Reception closes at midnight so let them know if you will be late. Check the phone number, the one we got off Expedia wasn't answered. It was like waking up in paradise. Beautiful buildings and gardens await you and the surroundings are idyllic. We had a junior suite and it was comfortable and so quiet and dark we nearly slept through breakfast! Breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely. The location means that it is a 10 minute drive into Ronda (follow central parking signs), 1.5 hours to Marbella down the winding mountain roads and 2 hours to Seville. We were sad to leave and want to take the hotel with us everywhere we go! :o)

Lovely, charming hotel in the countryside!

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Better and bigger signage pointing the way to the hotel--we didn't have too much trouble only because it was daylight and had read comments on this.
Location: Just outside of Ronda, White Towns District, lots to tour in the area--Ronda, villages, Roman ruins!
A beautiful and quiet spot with terraces, gardens, surrounded by olive groves, lovely pool, comfy rooms, great food, service, and wine!

Castle on the farm

Posted Oct 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
The castle/estate meets the farm.because that's where it's located. On a farm. Not on any gps maps because the 1.5 mile long dirt road from the highway is a not a legal street. No lights at night.Drive at own risk.Very friendly and helpful staff. No early wake up call because the staff doesn't start work until 8am.Free parking. It's a very nice place with nice people working there, but the location being located so far out of the way makes it not recommended for me.The hotel needs better marketing and signage/lighting to help people find this place.

Beauty in the Country

Posted May 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
this place is in the country ,about 20 minute drive from city center.their gardens are filled of many beautiful gardens . the rooms are clean , receptionist speaks various languages .WIFI only available in their lobby area.plan to eat dinner there because its delicious and very difficult to leave the area at night. we spend 2 1/2 hours looking for this hotel because the main road to the hotel was close down for 24 hours because of the San Isidro fair . they have 2 signs on the main road and NO other signs anywhere else.

A very nice, bijou country hotel. Small and intimate - with very attentive staff.
