Relaxing destination

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The facilities and restaurants were amazing
Cons: The rooms were decorated in a very traditional style. More contemporary furnishings would have been better.
Location: Beach front location with a promenade that provides a short walk into Marbella one way or Puerto Banus the other way.
Everything you need in one place... From excellent fitness facilities to Michelin starred restaurants. We have stayed in various places in the vicinity before and always hired a car to get out and about but this time there was just no need to venture out from the complex. The car stood still for our whole stay. We used the gym, the beech sun beds, the pools and many of the restaurants. A superb and very indulgent short break.

If you want to be in the 1960s. Stay here

Pros: Restaurants. Very buzzy.
Cons: Rooms need to compete with every other hotel In the world...even a Holiday Inn is better.
Location: Sensational,
Dated rooms. Even this they say they are newly renovated, blankets and pillows that are thin and archaic. However the restaurants and bars are sensational. buzzy! And you cant beat the beach, Boardwalk for miles ...

Very different hotel to a usual once.

We found hotel staff very nice, however the higher ranking once we're not that helpfull. Make sure you book your stay with breakfast, the choice was excellent. There is a choice of 3 outside swimming pools. The beach unfortunately is not as close to the hotel as on the picture! Overall was ok but far too expensive for what was on offer.

Lovely Hotel - Oasis of peace

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Grounds, facilities, staff
Cons: Information packs would be useful in rooms
Location: Great spot half way between Marbella and Puerto Banus
We loved our stay at Puente Romano. A lovely hotel with great staff throughout. The restaurants are delightful and reasonably priced. A grumble is always the price of bottled water, but local kiosks are about twenty metres away for more reasonable priced stocks. It is worth requesting a room further away from the restaurants etc if you are after a quieter time.

Very very helpful staff who couldn't do enough. Fun and buzzy especially Sunday lunch at Sea Grill but quiet and very clean room. Also a great gym - sunny overlooking tennis courts and palm trees.

Marbella long weekend at Puente Romano

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: The patio could be cleaned a bit better
Location: Lots of Beach facilities, Golf, tennis, lots of reataurants/bars
Fantastic 3 days at this hotel. Checkin was quick and easy with helpful, pleasant staff. Room was clean, extremely comfortable, porter took up bags and showed us the room with all the facilities expalined incl internet etc. Excellent view from the balcony. All the hotel staff were helpful, and always smiling including the cleaners (wichis says alot for a hotel) There are lots of restaurants/bars with relaxing ambience. Some of the dishes at the Sea Grill could be imnproved as the salad had way too much dressing (so what) All in all an extremely comfortable, happy place to enhoy a holiday. WE went to a wedding and the concierge staff at least 2 remembered and enquired next day about our expereince. The Meze bar and Plaze bar were good food and helpful staff with lots of laughter. Del Mar restaurant/bar ojn the beach is a must. The welcome, food, ambience, staff etc cannot be faulted. All in all a most pleasant stay

Just right for a relaxing time

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Quality of decor/furniture/bedding etc. Breakfast buffet was superb and my gluten free requirement was met very well.
Cons: Children less than 18 should not be allowed in main pool .Guests should be asked whether they would like to be located near or away from the mosque.
The beach was a bit of a hike, but we were quite happy to stay by the main unheated pool.Would suggest this pool should be restricted to 18 plus. Pool and bar staff were attentive.

Lovely surroundings and excellent location. Spacious room but disappointed not to have any coffee making equipment in room, despite a small kitchenette area. No cups, kettle, etc so encouraged to use room service which was very pricey. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
