Lovely Hotel - Oasis of peacePosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Grounds, facilities, staff
Cons: Information packs would be useful in rooms
Location: Great spot half way between Marbella and Puerto Banus
We loved our stay at Puente Romano. A lovely hotel with great staff throughout. The restaurants are delightful and reasonably priced. A grumble is always the price of bottled water, but local kiosks are about twenty metres away for more reasonable priced stocks. It is worth requesting a room further away from the restaurants etc if you are after a quieter time.

Great hotel.Posted Jul 8, 2014
Very very helpful staff who couldn't do enough. Fun and buzzy especially Sunday lunch at Sea Grill but quiet and very clean room. Also a great gym - sunny overlooking tennis courts and palm trees.

Marbella long weekend at Puente RomanoPosted Jul 8, 2014
Cons: The patio could be cleaned a bit better
Location: Lots of Beach facilities, Golf, tennis, lots of reataurants/bars
Fantastic 3 days at this hotel. Checkin was quick and easy with helpful, pleasant staff. Room was clean, extremely comfortable, porter took up bags and showed us the room with all the facilities expalined incl internet etc. Excellent view from the balcony. All the hotel staff were helpful, and always smiling including the cleaners (wichis says alot for a hotel) There are lots of restaurants/bars with relaxing ambience. Some of the dishes at the Sea Grill could be imnproved as the salad had way too much dressing (so what) All in all an extremely comfortable, happy place to enhoy a holiday. WE went to a wedding and the concierge staff at least 2 remembered and enquired next day about our expereince. The Meze bar and Plaze bar were good food and helpful staff with lots of laughter. Del Mar restaurant/bar ojn the beach is a must. The welcome, food, ambience, staff etc cannot be faulted. All in all a most pleasant stay

Just right for a relaxing timePosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Quality of decor/furniture/bedding etc. Breakfast buffet was superb and my gluten free requirement was met very well.
Cons: Children less than 18 should not be allowed in main pool .Guests should be asked whether they would like to be located near or away from the mosque.
The beach was a bit of a hike, but we were quite happy to stay by the main unheated pool.Would suggest this pool should be restricted to 18 plus. Pool and bar staff were attentive.

Lovely resort in MarbellaPosted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Spacious clean room and bath, lovely gardens, great choice of restaurants and excellent food.
Cons: Service in restaurants.
Location: We never left the hotel during our short stay, so can't comment on this.
This was a wonderful respite on a hectic 18-day tour of Spain and Portugal with my adult daughter. Puente Romano is a lovely resort with beautiful gardens that meander throughout the property. Our room and bath were recently refurbished and spacious, and we loved our bathroom which was also spacious and with a window that let in the natural sunlight. The small terrace was also a nice perk. We would have loved a view of the ocean, but not at our price point. Wonderful choice of restaurants and the food was excellent, although service was a bit spotty. The hotel staff was attentive and prompt with services we requested, but the restaurants seemed a bit overwhelmed. Nice boardwalk along the beach to stroll or ride a bike, and the hotel does provide bikes, but we opted to relax by one of the pools during our short stay. The beach area was also very lovely, although the water was too cold for a swim. Overall, a great hotel/resort choice in Marbella.

One of the best!Posted Apr 11, 2014
Loved everything about this hotel. Such friendly staff, set in a fabulous and peaceful location. Only a short cab ride to Puerto Banus and Marbella, but you can choose to walk along the lovely flat promebade both ways which we did. The food and service is fantastic, the rooms luxurious and immaculate. Ours had a wonderful private terrace which was a real suntrap. Would run back to this place in second! Loved it!
