Spanish hotel for Spanish holidaymakers

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Further to the above, if you wanted ice cream or crisps in the day you had to pay for them!! The weather was nice, the rooms and pool areas were clean
Cons: Other than the stuff mentioned above, the entertainment was shocking. It was spanish and very poor. Spanish singers, Spanish kids disco etc.
Location: All a bus ride away. If you want to see something of the area go nearer the beach.
The hotel is right on the outskirts next to a busy duel carriage way so you cannot just walk out of your hotel and wander about. If you want to go to the centre of Torremolinos or the beach you need to catch a free bus which leaves every 45 mins or so. The staff are Spanish and only have a limited grasp of English so communicating with them was difficult for me. The food wasn't all inclusive in the sense I had been told to expect. It was actually provided in sittings. Breakfast, lunch and then an evening meal. If you wanted to eat outside those times things like crisps and cake would sometimes be provided, as were burgers and chips at about 4.30. The food was typically Spanish and although there was plenty of it and lots of choices there was little for a 'British' palette other than chips, salad or pasta. There were plenty of deserts such as cake and mouse, occasionally they had cheese and biscuits as well. The ice cream was only in 4 flavours, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla and one other which i didn't eat but which i took to be plain. The drinks were available from breakfast until the 'entertainment' finished at about 12am. This consisted of tea coffee, juice, water, beer and spirits. It was the first time I had been away all inclusive and so i was expecting a friendly bar man whizzing up fancy cocktails complete with umbrellas etc. Here you would simply take your glass to the bar and ask for vodka. You would then have to get the mixer yourself.

Would go back but not here.

Foudn the hotel staff helpful it is a shame they have to represent such a dated hotel. The rooms were clean but antiquated including the kitchen whic was accommodation for self catering. The apartments should be kept up to the same standards as the hotel. Would not stay here again.

Hotel Apartamentos Roc El Pinar

Not a 4 star hotel! Hotel is very dated and rooms are basic, needs a good refurbish! Food is quite good, shame about the flies though!

Fools stay here

I booked this hotel because it was rated as a 4 star. The hotel is nothing more than a communal apartment complex. Indoor trailer park at best. We arrived late only to find that there was no paper products in the room and there was a missing shower curtain. The sheets were changed, but the overall room had not been swept or mopped. I went down to the front desk and was told that there is no night service for the maids. They would be in at 8 am. The next day I tried to make a phone call, the outside lines did not work. We went down to breakfast. Although the food was hot, we did not trust the resteraunt. Food from the night before was still on the floor. The plates needed to be recleaned before you could even use them. There was still food left on some of the silverware. We checked out early, at 12 pm. Still no maid serve even though we complained several times. This hotel is not recomended.

2nd Rate Hotel, 10-15Years Out Date, In need of a Lot of maintenance, Pool Area Very Poor, Gardens Very poor ( overgrown, laen area not suitable to sit on, generally to many trees makes the place very Dismal) Food = Rubbish at Best, just about acceptable Breakfasts as for the Rest No Thought, lack of Prep, Very poor, Location not ideal, although they do offer Shuttle Bus Service to Beach, Would not reccomend or go back, This hotels needs to be revised to 2/3Star At Best to save some other holidaymakker the Same Poor experiances as many others.

Not Impressed

Posted Oct 9, 2010
This was advertised at as a four Star hotel, but when we arrived the door was open, the bed was dirty with stains and had hair on it, the curtains were ripped, the plaster board near the door was falling away and had a massive hole in the wall. We booked an self contained apartment but we had no fridge.

Never again!! 4 star more like 1 star!!

Posted Aug 31, 2010
I was expecting alot more from the hotel which apperently was a 4 star! I was left hugely dissapointed with the service recieved and hotel. Day one on our arrival, we were given our room, we had a very unpleasent night sleep due to the weather and discovered a day later the air con was not working to which they were aware of! why was this room given out?? Secondly we were put in a room opposite to the bar which they forgot to advise us the bar was open until 5am (GMT +1). Again, we were moved the following day, then we were in a room which for starters did not have a balcony, what i paid for!! secondly, the sockets were away from the wall, thirdly there was mould on the walls, forthly air con was not working, weather was 40+. Room next to us was a stock room for the cleaners, so 7am (GMT +1) they were ready to work, pushin trollies, dropping materials, radio on loud! no consideration what so ever it is appalling this hotel is considered to be a 4 star, they dont even supply towels, we had to request them from the reception which took a day to arrive. This hotel is not welcoming and the manner i was spoke to was unacceptable, i didnt not appricatie being called a 'Bore' because i was not happy with the room, After all, i was under the impression I was paying his wages!! This hotel experience put a downer on my holiday and i did not enjoy it as i should of. I will not be returning and will continue to name and shame this cheap 1 star hotel
