“Good time in Estepona”
We stated at the Caledonia Golf & Spa Hotel for 7 nights. The Hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very heplful. The one thing we missed in the hotel was a kettle. You definitely need one for the early morning cup of tea/coffee. If we needed to get anywhere it was not easy without a car, so I recommend you hire a car. I would definitely visit again. On a scale of 5, I would say 4.
“Great hotel”
It is a great hotel - we asked for a room with the view and got the top floor apartment with big balcony and wonderful sea view! The rooms are clean and well furnished. There is a nice spa & gym at the hotel. It is a great bonus after a whole day on the beach. The only one downside is the access to the beach. The beach is secluded and we never had a problem with finding the sunbeds. It is only 5 - 10 minuts from the hotel however you have to pass the busy road in order to get there. It is really usefull to hire a car. The nearest grocery shop is also by the main road. Overall it is a good hotel and we will definitely come back there.
“Nice Hotel”
The hotel was very nice, it has a big pool but the most of the deck chairs were broken. Also the room was not very clean when we arrived and the upkeep of cleanliness of the room during our stay in my opinion it should have been cleaned to a higher standard as thats the most important thing when staying at a hotel. other thatn that it was a full week of relaxing.
“beautiful hotel”
We stayed in this hotel in may 2008 and found it to be spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel was quite empty during the week but filled up at the weekend with Spanish families enjoying the facilities. We only used the restaurant once for breakfast, the choice of food was endless, and the quality was good. We used the spa once and found it to be very good although we did begrudge having to pay for a swimming hat each that we will never(thankfully) have to wear again. All in all we would recommend this hotel and would definitely use it again.
“Great hotel but in the middle of no where!!!”
this hotel was really nice to stay at and the facilities were good too but you most definatly need a car, even the nearest shop is about a 5 min drive.
“Very Impressed”
My partner and I were very happy with the hotel, the surroundings were lovely and the hotel itself was well equipped, the pool area was very relaxing and was not over populated. The room we had was facing the pool but was not noisy. The restaurant was ok buffet styles dinners, but we mostly opted to cook in the room for our own ease so we could eat when we wanted rather than at the hotel times. The ktichen in the room was fairly well equipped but had no washing up materials like cloths and liquid but that we bought from the local supermarket.
“Lovely Hotel - Car Essential!”
Generally the hotel was just right for us apart from the location - although we had expected this would be the case. The hotel was lovely & clean. Breakfast was good although we were not at all impressed with the evening dinner. The biggest minus was the temperature of the pool-it was FREEZING! Which was disappointing as we had looked forward to spending time in there with our 17month old daughter. Overall the hotel was fine but the lovation meant having a car was absolutely essential!
“Excellent Value”
Stayed for 7 nights in feb 08. Hotel is clean, modern and was quiet at this time of year. Rooms are nice and big and well furnished. We found everyhting we needed to cook in the room (fridge, microwave, 2 rings, plenty of pans and utensils). Did not eat at hotel so can not comment on food. The pool is freezing as everyone says even though it was 27 degrees air temp! All in all excellent value for money. Would go again.
“nice hotel”
car needed as its far from everything ideal if you want to relax
“lovely hotel”
lovely hotel bit out of way car a must advice to other travellers take travel kettle has there are no kettle in room lovely big beds very clean rooms .

Area:
Estepona, Spain: Estepona is often mentioned in the same breath as its glitzy neighbour, Marbella, but is much less developedand less expensive. Alongside the new hotels and modern marina, it retains a characterful Old Town with steep, cobbled streets and tapas bars. Its beaches are among the best on this stretch of coast, including a (legal) nudist beach. There is a good golf course here and Selwo Safari Park is very close by. By night it is relatively quiet.
