Nice comfortable and clean hotel centrally located

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly and really comfortable beds
Arrived at 10:30 after very early flight from UK. Our room was ready and available which was a relief. Nice clean room overlooking the square. Very friendly staff. Room always made up each morning . Was quite noisy at night with late night revellers but didn't overly affect us. we had breakfast each day which was plentiful and really set us up for the day. Would recommend this option. Nice but small rooftop pool and terrace with sun beds and large brollies. Unfortunately, we only managed to get a sunbed on one occasion as other guests were in the habit of putting their towels down before breakfast ( they weren't Germans either!) There is a pleasant snack bar on the same level which we enjoyed. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Plaza Cavana and would recommend it to friends

Really nice hotel.

Pros: The room was tastefully decorated. The area before you enter reception was very tastefully furnished.
Cons: There are steps up to reception which is not ideal if you are carrying suitcases. The breakfast could have offered more choice of hot food.
Location: The hotel is well situated. There are restaurants right outside and you are very close to all the shops.
Our room was overlooking the square which although noisy did give a good buzz. Hotel is well situated close to all amenities. The room was well equipped. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space which is quite unusual. The bathroom was large.

Excellent location

Pros: Locations and spacious bedroom
Cons: Availability of double rooms...instead of twin beds.
Location: Tapas, bar & restaurants are all nearby
A few seconds walk to the Balcon De Europe. Could be noisy in the evening when balcony doors are left open but we had them closed all night as air-conditioning was left all night. Parking space is a big bonus as parking in Nerja is very difficult.

Central location

This was my 4th visit to the hotel. I like it because of it's central location and only a short walk from the local beach. At times it can be a little noisy outside in the plaza but once the double doors are closed in the bedroom this noise is shut out. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Enjoyed our stay. Location is great. Pool was cold. We were given room 206(?) which was partially rooftop level. You had to climb a flight of steps from the entrance of room where the bathroom was up to a loft for the bedroom. It had windows and a door out to the rooftop pool deck which meant you had to keep your shades down for privacy though you could step out to the roof for a view easily. This room was not for anyone with physical limitations. Don't know about the other rooms.

Visit to Nerja

Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Location is very good
Cons: Wi-Fi was hit and miss.
Location: Nice little cafe near by called Anahi. Nice coffee and brandy.
Stayed for 2 nights and asked about another 2 nights later on in the week. There was no problem and they even offered me a special rate. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. Would stay again.

Service above and beyond the call of duty

Posted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: Location and quality of room
Location: Central to the buzz of Nerja just behind the Balcon d'Europe but still really handy to beaches
Brilliant location right in the heart of everything. Lovely room which was well cleaned and serviced every day. Was delighted with everything in the hotel throughout the holiday and then on the last day when I fell ill, the hotel excelled themselves. I was checking out and it was clear that I was not at all well. The lady at reception commented on this and enquired when we were flying home. Our flight wasn't until that evening and when she heard this she immediately said that I could go back and keep the room until we were leaving. This made a huge difference to me as I was really very unwell and wasn't sure how I was going to see the day through. I was prepared to pay for the extra day but there was no mention of this. Top marks for service!

Nice friendly staff - speaking English. Rooms clean and recently painted. You are right in the middle of town so very convenient to everything including beaches - early traffic may disturb.
