Very nice HotelPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Very clean but did see 2 cockroaches in dining hall
Lovely room overlooking sea on 4th floor but quite noisy early in the morning with all activity from services travelling in front of Hotel.(would not put us off going again) Lots to do and only 2 minute walk to beach 2 sunbeds 9 Euro good variety of food but some not to our liking We would certainly recommend this Hotel to friends and family

Perfect location in regards to the beach.Posted Oct 20, 2013
Beautiful clean hotel, very grand complex and very good entertainment for families at night. Food was average however, nothing in the resteraunt had signs so found myself walking out and noticing things I hadn't known where there. Friendly reception staff. Would defiantly stay again. Bed was very hard but the room was very clean and well equipped.

Shame about some of the staffPosted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Good location. Food was excellent.
Cons: Staff would need to be retrained in customer service.
Just returned from a stay in the Don Marco. Great hotel but shame about some of the staff. I booked two rooms one for my daughter and one for myself. I e-mailed both Melia Hotels and the Don Marco with a request for either connecting rooms or adjoining room or two rooms next to each other. Melia e-mailed be back saying the Don Marco would answer my e-mail directly. I did not receive a reply from the Don Marco. When we arrived at the Hotel the reception staff (two) were dealing with one other Spanish coulpe and we were next in line to book in. However a number of existing Spanish guests queries were dealt before us and the telefone got priority. Eventually after approx half an hour eye contact was made with us and we were booked in. I queried the room numbers and was told they were opposite one another and that was the best they could do . How ever the rooms were neither next or opposite one another the best I could say the were in the same corridor. During our stay we had similar experience with the reception staff where the phone and Spanish staff got priority. At the end of our stay my daughter found a previous guest top under her bed which indicated the room was not properly cleaned during our stay.

More of a family or couple hotelPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Pancakes at breakfast!
Location: Right on the beach front loads of bars and restaurants to Choose from
This was our 4th stay in torremolinos in the last year. But first stay at the don Marco. Big clean hotel, you could use all facilities in the 3 sol don hotels. We only found the one main restraunt which connected 2 of the hotels, you just came in from another entrance. Pools are big and always sunbeds free. Rooms are clean. Towels and bedding changed everyday. Wifi is only free at the reception area. All other areas you had to pay. Reception staff very helpful at all times. Lots of restaurants & bars outside the hotel in both directions. Our only moan is we would go b&b next time if we went back, dinner was very repetitive. We ended up eating out some nights.

Nice hotel, great locationPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Booked (and paid in full on hotels.com) 6 nights in room with sea view (half board). On arrival we were told that they didn't have any rooms with sea view available for our first night, so they had to put us in a standard room. No apology offered and no mention of any refund/ discount, etc Not impressed at all...! Pros: right next to the beach and close to several nice restaurants, bars, etc; although crowded, it is part of the Sol Don Hotels complex, so several pools available; decent size rooms; decent breakfast, plenty of options. Cons: WiFi free only in the lobby, and unbelievably slow (so decided not to pay to use in the room); have to pay to use safe in room (only 2 euro/ day, but it should be included in price); although still plenty of options, dinner was below average (only went once, then, although already paid for, decided to go to some of the restaurants around).
