Worst Food EverPosted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: Clean rooms, entertainment wasn't too bad
Cons: The food doesn't need improving it needs to be revamped
Location: Great location with easy access to town centre and 22 mins by train to Malaga. Less than 10 mins to shopping at Plaza Major
If you book this hotel please book room only. It serves the worst food ever. Rooms are always clean though

Lovely HotelPosted Aug 19, 2013
This is a fabulous hotel for anyone, it is great for families as there are activities for everyone. It is located right on the beach and also has loads of beautiful pools to use on sight. Everything you need is right at your feet and the staff are amazing. I'd definitely visit again.

Great hotelPosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is very like the family hotels we used to stay in in The Canaries when I was a kid. What makes this place extra special is three things: it's a sort of campus of three hotels which gives extra outside space compared to neighbouring hotels; also, as a result, it has five main pools to choose from; it's ten yards from the beach - say no more! Torremolinos has a reputation for being naff but there is a buzz about the place. Recommended this place to my brother, his wife and twelve-year-old son.

Short stay, great experience!Posted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: Choice of breakfast
Cons: Creaking lifts
Location: Central to everything, lovely restaurants on the beach with busy town hidden away not spoiling the sea front for those wanting a quieter evening.
What We read from Internet and reports were true to life. Based on this it was exactly what we hoped for. The rooms were kept spotless. Huge variety of breakfast choice to suite all needs. Definitely a place we would go back to.

Great hotelPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: The amount of sun beds available
Cons: Cold pasta at lunch/dinner
Location: 15mins taxi from airport and close to the beach
The hotel is great, had a brilliant holiday and it wasn't just British there. The evening entertainment was superb but you need to get there about 15mins before it starts otherwise you won't get a seat. There are a few nice restaurants along the sea front. I went with a friend but had I gone with children it would have been just as good. The only small thing is on one of the days the toilets at the pool were blocked and it smelt! Would def go back.

Fantastic hotelPosted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Location and food
Cons: The lifts!! Very busy, especially at meal times.
Location: Central for everything. Right across from the beach.
Food was fantastic. Location superb, just across the road from the beach. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Free wifi in the communal areas was a bonus. Wish we'd known we could hire pool towels to save luggage space. 10 Euros deposit to hire each towel. Hotel was within walking distance of the Square with all the entertainment and bars. Entertainment in the hotel was very good. Views from our room on floor 6 were brilliant. Took a wander through the sister hotels Don Pedro and Don Marco but they were not nearly as good as the Don Pablo. We has a late flight back so asked to keep our room on. It costs 25Euros as long as your room is not going to be used at early check in. Next time I would book that before going there or on arrival. Definitely go back there. Brilliant

Pros: The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is right across from the beach which is wonderful.
Cons: This hotel should stop having customers pay extra for things that should be free (use of internet, safes, towels, tennis courts). Also, renovate!
Location: Torremolinos has a very nice beach and is gay friendly. We really enjoyed having late afternoon sangrias at the oceanside bar/lounge called EL GATO.
This hotel is nowhere close to being four stars. It is more like two stars. The rooms are very clean but are in desperate need of renovations. We were on the top floor with a beach view which was supposed to be the 'good' rooms so I can only imagine what others were enduring. The beds are like concrete blocks and the TV was tiny. You have to pay a deposit to use the room safe!!...and they give you this ancient key to use it! We did half board. The food was good but after a few days we noticed it lacked variety and became repetitive and dull. It was also not very cultural. They had paella but where was the flan, gazpacho, sangria, etc? We chose this location because of the tennis courts which are a total joke. We were basically playing on a basketball court and we had to pay EXTRA for this! This hotel really nickels and dimes you to death. You have to pay extra for everything and always had to go through the front desk reception...which means they were always overwhelmed. There was one front desk person (Bonilla) who was very nasty. All we wanted to do is return the tennis rackets and he completely snapped at us. We noticed him being very short with everyone he dealt with. We enjoyed Torremolinos for the beach and the gay friendly vibe. If you want to see cultural sites, jump on the train for an afternoon in Malaga. It is very quick, easy, and cheap.

Very positive experience.Posted Jun 2, 2013
Very good location, although there was still some renovation going on, it wasn't very noticeable. The thing we missed the most in this hotel was a bidet. Staff were very nice and helpfull. Close to the beach, towncentre and stores. Alltogether we had a good time in this hotel, food and service was good also. If we'll come back one day to this area, we will stay there.

Great complex for a holidayPosted May 30, 2013
Location: The location is right on the seafront and a short walk to the town centre.
The Sol Don Pablo is part of a group of three Don Hotels which allow you the use of the facilities of all three hotels so you can usually find room at a pool or sunbathing area. The staff were all extremely friendly and efficient although at certain times the bars seemed understaffed and you had to wait to be served. The staff at the Cordoba dining room were especially friendly and helpful. The Don Pablo is in the process of being renovated one floor at a time and I think the lower floors have been completed .We were on the 6th floor overlooking the bowling greens and the housekeeping was first class but you can see that the rooms are in need of a makeover our shower hose was leaking but was replaced within a couple of hours .I would definately recommend this hotel and the half board option is certainly worth considering.
