The staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to help. Santiago and the girls at the reception were very helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

Nice good size refrigerator in room, good aircon, hot water, nice bed, great pool. No complaints. Grounds were pretty and immaculate. Only had breakfast in the restaurant because it came free with our room. It was ok. Can't speak on the rest of the menu. Dove with another scuba shop because a friends brother works there. So can't speak to that either, but the shop looked clean and organized with nice dunk tanks for your gear.

Rooms are nice but the pool is unusable for kids are anyone that can't swim girlfriend couldn't enjoy the pool to deep. The pools on the island seem to be only for training divers not the enjoyment of gest. They need to hire someone to clean trash from ocean

Very clean and spacious for an affordable rate. Has very pretty garden and pristine blue swimming pool. Rooms are tidy- has stronG AC, bathrooms are clean with complementary toiletries. Does not have TV, but I didnt care for that. Staff were very kind and nice.

Dive shop on-site was quite accommodating. Low census due to Coronavirus and they were able to provide dive master and I to go on another boat for thresher shark dive at dawn! Also upgraded my room for free when I had trouble with using booking service online. Food service was slow due to staffing shortage but breakfast was good and included in my upgraded room.

Incredible !
We LOVED our stay at slam’s garden! We booked 4 nights and then ended up staying 9 once we got a taste of how comfortable it is . The facilities ( room , pool , grounds , etc ) are pristine and inviting . We spent several days at the pool meeting lots of other travellers who were also enjoying the great atmosphere. The staff are all super nice and accommodating . The breakfast that is included is amazing ! You can order off of a breakfast menu with tons of options so you can change it up each morning. The dive centre attached is also excellent . We did lots of diving with them during our stay . They are cheaper than other places on the island , have brand new equipment , a very nice boat and excellent dive masters to show you around the brilliant underwater world around Malapascua We’ve walked by every other resort on the island and I’d be surprised if there is a better option than Slam’s ( especially if you want a pool as part of the experience).

Good, comfortable stay in the quiet area behind the beach. Not beachfront, but 100 meters. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes miss the cues. A decent breakfast is included. For the price, it’s a fine stay.

Nice and clean swimming pool. Beach is 1 min away. Very good WiFi. Near local market place for cheap food and groceries. Able to arrange porter service to carry luggage to ferry terminal (5 mins away) for only P50. That is half the price for porter service from ferry terminal to hotel. Drinking water top up only P20 for 1 litre. Welcome drink. Friendly and professional reception. Daily housekeeping

Very friendly and helpful staff. Went out of their way to arrange a taxi pick up for me, just very helpful and friendly. Very nice and quiet place, although the music from the nextdoor karaoke was a bit loud. For the rest, a nice oasis of peace. Very conveniently located, walking distance between two nice beaches.

Great stay at Slams
Loved this place, especially the outdoor area/pool/restaurant. We only stayed one night but wished we had been there for the 4 nights we stayed on the island. Was so much better than the other place we paid more than double for. Great restaurants around the corner facing the sunset!

Go dive with the sharks
I only went to this island I only went to this island to go diving with thresher sharks. This was the perfect place to stay while doing that. Very easy to get to once you get off the boat, extremely friendly staff, and a great place to sleep. They have nice drink specials, a decent kitchen, a great little pool, and good prices. Overall well worth a stay.

If you've decided to travel the world....Firstly, YOU'RE A ROCKSTAR. Secondly, I would recommend this hotel to you. The hotel provides everything you need and is literally in the backyard of town. Convienviently, located beside a dive shop - where I spent most of my time - the 4 AM wake-up calls to see the Thresher Shark weren't too painful. There is a price increase if you want 'Air Conditioning', so to stay cool I stuck by the pool. The staff are uniquely funny and super helpful. One dude (name left my head) had a few great one-liners about the slow internet was which made my day. Internet on the island is very slow, so this was not the fault of the hotels. Overall, this place is perfect for you backpackers and divers looking to spend a few days on the Malapascua island. Advice for divers - have your Advanced Certification if you want to see those amazing Thresher Sharks. Until next time!

We are seasoned Philippines travellers and value air conditioning. We paid extra for a triple deluxe room even though a double deluxe has identical size and setup (2 queen beds) and costs $7 less, because the website didn't show the double room had air conditioning (which it actually has). The second day the manager asked us extra because we were 2 couples, stating that we booked only for 2 persons. On the website the price for 2 or 4 people is exactly the same. After a very loud and unpleasant dispute with the manager we refused to pay the requested extra charge. We received only 2 free breakfasts instead of 4. Signs posted all over the property advise guests of ridiculous surcharges for lots of things that are free in other properties including a 500 Pesos cork fee for bringing in your own beverages. The unpleasant interaction with the manager ruined our vacation here and consequently we do not recommend that you stay here!

Convenient location - staff very good - pool excellent - room was satisfactory / bed mattress a bit slim hard sleeping - fridge in room would be a nice addition - common fault all asia hotels room towels to small not of great quality - breakfast good start to the day, restaurant food was good - need to start happy hour like there competitors as I observed of an eve all guests ventured to other bars / restaurants to dine that offered this - wi fi is not good another reason to go out for happy hour

Very Relaxing Holiday
Members of staff in the hotel are very friendly, who kindly answered a lot of questions of mine about local food, stores as well as local people. Malapascua is such a small island that you will get to know local people, tourists and divers after spending for a couple of days. Local food is extremely tasty and unbelievably cheap.

Slam's Garden Resort a friendly place! .
Overall, the staff go out of their way and treat everyone very respectfully. I had some medical problems and the staff were helpful to get me to a Dr. and check on me. The pool facilities, food and gardens were nice for what is the norm in Malapascua Island. Location is great close to the ferry, dive shops and some nicer restaurants. We found the diving to be poor, only thing to see is the thresher sharks and maybe some white tips, but Yolanda and the grenade fishing have taken their toll. No t.v. in the room and wifi is not always available.
