"A lovely peaceful stay... Recommended hotel!!!!"
Myself and my friend recently stayed at Parc Hotel Eden as we where visiting Malcesine for a friends wedding... The hotel was very nice, staff where extremely friendly and the breakfast was as we expected it to be :) The maid kindly cleaned our bedroom every day. I honestly can't pull the hotel up for any faults apart from you have to hike up a fair few steps to get to the pool, but once you are up there the views/scenary are out of this world!! Also the hotel is located quite far away from the centre and does not have any local shops, although it is very peaceful... Don't let this put you off as there is a tourist bus which runs twenty two on the hour to Malcesine from the hotel and twenty past on the hour from Malcesine back to the hotel at only 1 euro each... There are other buses but cost more euro's!! I think the tourist bus starts at 7am and the last one is midnight... I would recommend this hotel to elderly couples who require a peaceful break. :)

"Lovely,friendly hotel."
We loved our stay here. I read reviews before we booked and they were pretty spot on. I paid a little bit extra to get a lake view and boy, was it worth it! We had a small unimpressive room with frankly ugly furniture but I didn't care a jot because there was a beautiful picture window opening onto a spacious balcony with your own loungers and table and chairs, looking out over a spectacular view. It was just so lovely to get up in a morning and throw the windows open to gaze out. And we got the evening sunshine so we would sit out there before going into dinner. The pool is fantastic. The service was lovely. Personally I don't think the photos on the site do the place justice. The public areas are smart and chic. Food was well presented and tasty. If you have more money to splash around I glimpsed some very posh rooms. The weather in May was perfect. The mountain scenery and walking is amazing. Malcesine itself is really pretty. In my view, the prettiest place on the lake. The walk from the hotel is short and picturesque. Yes there are lots of steps down to the front, over a hundred. But we managed and it helped to burn off some of the gelato calories! Just time your journey carefully. You get a bus from the airport to the railway. Then a bus runs to Malcesine. However, due to flight delays we missed the last one at 18.45. We got the bus to Garda but then needed a taxi to get to Malcesine. Its a fair way and it cost a bit over £50. The bus would have been 5 euros each.

"Can't fault it"
Our stay at Hotel Peler was excellent and would definately go back if was staying in Lake Garda in future. Owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating during our short stay. Perfect location with amazing views of the lake and close to all bars and restaurants. Room was spotless and cleaned daily. Friends who were staying in the area at the same time, commented how they wish they'd booked into Hotel Peler also as it was truly excellent value for money

"More than we expected"
We came back from Malcesine on the 12th June 2014 after a 12 day break. We had a wonderful time and the Hotel was great. There are two Piccolo Hotels in Malcesine and ours was 2.5 km outside the Town centre. This may seem far but actually is great as there is a lovely walk beside the Lake into town and if you want to take it easy there is a Tourist Bus every hour to and from the front door of the Hotel. This is a family run Hotel and they could not do enough for us. Everything you needed they would either have or find out for you. We booked a day trip to Verona and the Hotel booked it all for us. The food in the Hotel was reasonably priced (15 Euros each for a three course evening meal) and it is a very good meal and a completely different menu every night. (And it is real Italian food). The pool is good and the accomodation was clean and very comfortable. If your booking - then book a Lake view with a balcony it is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views. We cant praise the staff enough and particularly Maria who in our opinion could not have looked after us any better. She was wonderful.

"Good base in Malcesine"
This is a good basic hotel and well run. It suffers rather from too many English wedding parties and is a bit noisy from the main street in the evenings.

"Good central location, excellent food"
Our second stay at this hotel was equally enjoyable and we have usually received great help from the receptionists (when we arrived we did get the impression that the receptionist had possibly had a bad day). The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and always maintained to a high standard. The choice of food at breakfast time is always appetising and plentiful and dining on the lakeside terrace is a great treat (apart from the times when other diners choose to smoke which does spoil the atmosphere but we found this an outdoor hazard in Italy this year), the 10% discount offered to hotel residents is a great bonus and we have never felt the need to dine elsewhere - why would you with such a view to enjoy?

"Very good hotel, though a bit far from the centre."
In all, this was a very good place for us to stay (myself, my wife & 14-year-old son). Our room and balcony had a great view across the lake to the mountains on the other side. The fact that the room included a fridge and some cooking facilities gave more flexibility, especially in the mornings. We were travelling Italy with a hired car, so the hotel's free underground garage was a valuable asset. And my wife spent some happy hours in the hotel's outdoor swimming pool. Malcesine is an excellent centre from which to explore Lake Garda by car. Also try the boat trip across to Limone. And definitely don't miss the astounding views and Alpine meadows at Malcesine's highest cable-car terminal. The only drawback was that the town centre was about 3 kilometres along the coast from the hotel. We walked it a couple of times (which would usually be our preference)… but later found it more convenient and less time-consuming to go by car. The atmosphere in the town centre was pleasant and the service at the many restaurants was (typically for Northern italy) friendly and helpful.

"Family Holiday"
We stayed in a family room for a week, the whole hotel was kept in an excellent and tidy condition. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, and spoke excellent English and couldn't do enough to make our stay welcoming. I would definately stay again if I was visiting Lake Garda.

"Happy after last minute booking"
I booked this hotel 2 weeks before we were due to travel to Malcesine for a friends wedding. I was surprised to be able to get a hotel so close to the centre of town - it's right on the harbour. The staff were as friendly as could be expected given our pigeon Italian. The room was perfect for our requirements - spacious, clean, and quite modern. Double glazed windows, shutters and air con. Nice large, clean bathroom. There was no view from the windows but I hadn't booked expecting one, and we weren't spending much time in the hotel anyway. Breakfast was the usual continental style. They kindly let us leave our luggage in a back room after check out as we weren't leaving straight away. Overall - perfect for a short stay, if you want somewhere convenient for the centre of Malcesine. I would class it as more of a restaurant with rooms - no lounge area etc. Maybe not for you if you like your hotel on the luxurious side.

    Malcesine, Lake Garda Hotel Guide

On the eastern shore of Lake Garda, Malcesine has been a popular tourist destination since Roman times. Today, it bustles with life as cafés, bars, restaurants, and boutiques line the narrow, cobbled streets that lead to a picturesque harbor. Hiking trails nearby provide splendid views of the area's flora and fauna, as well as of the lake and Alps. Sailing and windsurfing are also popular activities.
