ServicePosted Mar 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
We originally booked to stay at this property. However we were contacted several weeks after the booking to inform us that a fire had occurred months ago and they would be doing construction during the stay. We were therefore transferred to another Adaaran Property with the same type of booking, which we were happy about. The stay was great and we were glad we did the all-inclusive option because food is very expensive. We were disappointed with the speed of service. We also received difficulties from the staff for drinking an all-inclusive beverage on our private patio, instead of at the bar. The hotel did make a point of remedying the service experience with a complimentary romantic beachside dinner, which did save our stay.

Pure BlissPosted May 20, 2013
Pros: The stairs straight into the water
Cons: Not many options for rainy days. There needed to be some more entertainment provided at the main bar
Location: The surrounding waters were full of fish and coral and snorkelling around the island was amazing. There is also a surf break at one end.
The Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas was the perfect choice for our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The rooms were superb, very spacious, comfortable. The Villas were quite close to each however were designed very well to ensure privacy on the balcony's. Whilst the food at the buffet wasn't 5 star, there was a large variety of choices to please even the fussiest of people. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

ocean villas has very good standart of 4 starsPosted Feb 17, 2013
Location: close to male about 30 minutes by boat
my overall experience is very good . i am happy with the quality and attendance of the staff from our butler abdul to waiters at the sunset and breeze restaurant. ocean villas was very good on the sea . there was a nice private small deck in front of the room. and there was a direct access to sea from this deck. all facilities in general can be considered as a good standart 4 star. our reservation was 5 nights and we stayed 4 nights in ocean villas , hotel management offered us an upgrade to an honeymoon villa at adaaran prestige vadoo island . last night we stayed at vadoo honeymoon villa which has very large and verywell furnished room with a very large private deck in front including a small pool on the deck. and there was also a nice jakuzzi in the room . this island was smaller than the hudhuranfushi but there were very good sandy beaches in the island and very good snolkering areas with excellent fishes in the sea.

Fantastic Ocean VillasPosted Dec 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed for 5 nights recently at the Ocean Villas - WOW. the location and room acnnot be faulted. There was some wear and tear in the room that could be improved on, but on the whole -very, very good. We had our own butler to drive us off the villas for lunch and dinner. The food - was very good, but I've had better in cheaper all inclusives.

Adaaran Prestige Ocean VillasPosted Aug 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Must stay in Ocean Villa, the sea view is beautiful. I joined the all-inclusive package, there is not much food choice, only one restaurant serving food for lunch and dinner. The hotel is a bit old and needed to upgrade.

A terrible hotelPosted Jul 19, 2009
We went to the Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas for our honeymoon. It was so bad it was actually funny. It was actually so terrible that we left early after only half of the time booked. So what was wrong? Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas advertises itself as a 5 star luxury hotel. This is simply misleading. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this place is definitely not of that quality. Even though it one of the most expensive hotels you will find in the maldives, it is closer to a pleasant 2 star. The rooms were comfortable but very worn and creaky. Definitely not 5 star standard. The bed squeaked badly (not ideal if you are on honeymoon). The airconditioning leaked everywhere (including over our luggage). The bathrooms did not work properly. The food was fine - if you like average pub food. The prices were 5 star however and anyone expecting something special will be disappointed/disgusted. The service was friendly however most of the staff appeared to have little training and as a result the service quality was so bad that you could only laugh. We enquired whether they received a lot of complaints and they only laughed and said "what do you think?". To make matters worse, the hotel refused to give us a refund for the cancelled time. FORTUNATELY however, we had booked through Expedia, and Expedia did kindly manage to get a refund for us. Bad hotel, good Expedia.
