The best honeymoon destination on earth!Posted Jul 13, 2014
Location: Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Candle light dinners, Private beaches, awesome fooood & so much more
My wife and I chose Kurumba for our 4-night honeymoon and we were so delighted we did so. We reached Maldives around 10am and were picked up from the airport and transferred to the island via a private royal boat. Once reached, we were given an upgrade and the deluxe bungalow was just fantastic, neat and very romantic, few steps from the scenic beautiful private beach. The water was mesmerizing. We were quite delighted to receive complimentary candle light dinner, snorkeling lessons and 3-hr snorkeling tour to different reefs. The food was just so delicious and wide range of selection to choose from. We didn't repeat a single restaurant in our 5 day stay here. We also did Scuba Diving with the Euro Divers and it was just memorable. We saw sharks, turtles, beautiful corals and a wide variety of fishes! The staff are beyond your imaginable expectation, they never say NO to your wishes. They are simply fantastic and so well behaved in their gestures. My wife and I never wanted to leave ;). I would highly recommend this place to people looking for the best holiday in Maldives. Kurumba we will see you soon!

Great Honeymoon ChoicePosted Jul 5, 2014
The staff are friendly, the accommodation is great, and the place is beautiful! You couldn't ask for more for a great honeymoon. Although it is a bit pricey, and the food is generally lacking in good taste. WARNING: Dinner costs around $100 US per day...and is not included if you don't go with the All Inclusive package.

Want to go backPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Everything! We spent our time relaxing on the beach, walking in the warm water, and generally watching world go by. Staff smiling and helpful
Cons: We wanted to stay longer and were quite disappointed we did not book more nights.
Location: Back of House tour and House reef snorkeling tour strongly recommended.
We enjoyed a 4 night stay at Kurumba in June, 2014. We arrived into male airport and just outside the arrival door, at pillar 4 was the Kurumba representative- it was a quick walk to the boat, and we were off. Cool cloths and water were provided for the short ride. Unfortunately, our flight arrived at night, so we really did not see much. The check in was smooth- provided with the tasty coconut ice cream, and then taken to our room. It was # 115, the second floor, large and with a huge bathroom, complete with outdoor shower (my husband's favorite). The next morning, we opened the curtains to a breath taking view of white sand and blue water. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty, we also ate at the Ocean Grill and Cucina (Italian). Both were delicious. Do make reservations for any a la carte restaurants. We went out on the dolphin cruise, did the house reef snorkeling tour and the cooking class.

Almost HeavenPosted May 28, 2014
Cons: open air bathrooms are great but not to get ready in. Should convert bar area inside AC-ed room into a proper dressing area w good lighting.
Hotel was great location only 10 minute boat ride form airport but airport noise at a minimum (heard max of 4 planes/day). Beach great (bungalo) and great snorkelling. Husband loved the dive team. Staff fantastic. We ate only a la carte and food was good.

Wonderful!Posted May 11, 2014
It was lovely--take the dolphin cruise. Everyone was very helpful. It was easy to get to the island from Male. 10 min by boat.

Fabulous service and espectacular beachesPosted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Everything was excellent but what we did enjoy the most was the spa. We were lucky to have this Thai girl giving us a terrific deep tissue massage
Cons: We felt the restaurants were overpriced, especially the Japanese cuisine one
Location: It's an atoll, so it doesn't get better than that. The town, Male, is nice but basically you come here to escape from the world and enjoy the beach
We did really have a fantastic time, especially relaxing at the quiet beach and then going for a snorkeling after too much tanning. Food was really good but very overpriced as we thought they charged like a 2 star Michelin restaurant although it wasn't even close to being that great. The spa was the best experience we had there. The massages were tremendously good and they care about every single detail to ensure the atmosphere (decoration, smells, tea, toiletries, etc) is pleasant and enjoyable. In general, the facilities are top notch and we only had a minor malfuction in the bathtub where the fawcett was loose. We also enjoyed the concept of half open bathroom (no roof) as it felt like showering in the wild, with unusual birds and geckos

Superb resort, everything we wanted and more.Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: The food, the beaches, the staff, the cocktails, the water, the outside showers, the picture postcard views.
Cons: Minor things, but the chairs in two of the restaurants were uncomfortable, and possibly a little bit more light at ground level around the island.
Location: Location is great, only 10 mins boat ride from Male airport, minor noise from planes leaving airport but they are infrequent.
From arrival to departure we were looked after, any requests we made were dealt with and responded to more than adequately. The whole experience from staff, to food, to accommodation, to facilities was spot on.

Nice and more affordable resort in MaldivesPosted Mar 17, 2014
Overall we had a very good stay. Staff service was excellent, room was spacious and comfortable, there was a good variety of cuisine for hotel food and there was always some fun activities to do. Room - the furnishing was slightly dated but nevertheless the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I really like the bathroom as it was big, had his and her sinks, a bath tub and 2 showers (1 indoor 2 outdoor). Also there's a balcony if you want to to relax outdoor. Service - this was impeccable! Hotel staff was always very courteous and helpful. We had a lady called Selvi who attended to us for check in and throughout our stay she was very helpful and knowledgable with our various other queries. Five star service! Food - the breakfast spread was of good variety. We stayed for a week and the spread was different almost everyday. For dinners, if you're tired of more buffets (also very good dinner spread), try the specialty restaurants. We checked out Ocean Grill and Hamakaze (Jap teppanyaki place) and enjoyed it. Activities - they have amenities like tennis courts, swimming pools (2 of those), recreation centre complete with table tennis and pool tables, and also a host of programs everyday (Male excursion, sunset dolphin cruise, guest cocktail nigts, sunset jazz by the beach) so you're never bored. Some are complementary and some are not. We enjoyed snorkelling at the beach and did some diving with Euro Divers. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay with Kurumba
