“Medhufushi honeymoon experience!”
Will keep it short and sweet... Unless you have completely unreasonable expectations, a holiday at this resort will blow your mind! The water villa was very comfortable with the decking area overlooking the ocean a truly spectacular feature. There is nothing like the view of a shallow tuqoise blue sea streched out in front of you. With steps going right down into the ocean, you can easily get in and enjoy the water, although for the villa's a little further out, the current could be a little too strong for weaker swimmers at times. But there was mini-reef's dotted around the area which was great for snorkelling and spotting exotic fish! Otherwise, the resort offered amazing food, a relaxed infinity pool area, some good excusrions and generally a very good level of service from the staff. Only complaint would be that they could have done a little more for the honeymoon aspect, but that doesnt matter much because the whole setting of the island captures you as soon as you arrive anyway. You feel like you have been whipped away to some romantic paradise reality!!
“amazing chilling place”
very friendly staff, the rooms are beautiful and impressive the resort is very clean and you get to have very nice pictures
“Stunning”
Perfect holiday getaway, ok for singles, but very quiet. Food, spa, beach, cleanliness, room, facilities, trips....all excellent .... What a totally lovely holiday destination!
“Pure Bliss”
Medhufushi can only be described as a little piece of paradise. We stayed in one of the water villas which were decorated beautifully and with the decking leading directly into the lagoon made the holiday just perfect. The diving centre is exceptional with dive sites which have to be amongst the best in the world. Our only fault in the entire holiday is with the airline. It was a shame to have to travel shabby class after enjoying the luxuries of Medhufushi.
“paradise island”
Much has been written about the coral atolls of maldives, but nothing quite prepares you for the real stuff. The seaplane ride from the airport with barefoot pilots is amazing as we skim over impossibly blue and green ocean and atolls. The hotel was a little gem with truly warm and welcoming staff chosen from around the world. The water villa where we stayed was the stuff odf dreams with the ocean beneath us, our own deck and private access to the lagoon. Food is plentiful and varied. We would love to go back.
“Great place for a relaxing holiday”
We stayed in the resort for one week and when we left we both thought that a few days more would have been great. The water villa was wonderful. We had a villa on the "sunrise' side, there is another row of villas on the "sunset" side of the resort. If you are not an early bird maybe the sunset side is better. Most of the evenings we had our meals in de Malaafaiy buffet restaurant which was the cheaper of the two possibilities and in our opinion much better than the a la carte restaurant Al Fresco. One of the evenings we had a romantic beach BBQ which was indeed romantic, but the food was disappointing. The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent and good value for money. No need to bring formal dresses or high heeled shoes because there is very little opportunity to wear them. The dress code is casual; the buffet restaurant has sand on the floor so flip-flops are more comfortable.
“Welcome to Paradise”
The island, hotel and resort were everything we'd ever hoped they would be. It was paradise, it was perfection! Food and drinks weren't cheap but I guess that was to be expected. Staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. I went with my girlfriend and no one batted an eyelid. We loved every second of our time there.
“Tough to Beat”
Exceptional service, wonderful location, great food, extremely attentive staff, a wide variety of amenities....it's tough to imagine staying any place better than this. It truly felt like paradise. Extremely highly recommended.
“Excellent place to go”
Would recommend this hotel and island to anybody. Had a fantastic time, excellent service, friendly people, beautiful location, paradise.
“very nice place to stay!”
Very very good Hotel at all! Staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean! I would say more than 5 stars..
