GO all inclusive

Posted Apr 13, 2013
Pros: Helpful staff, Clean, location. freshly cooked fish/meat/chicken at meals time...Lots of different food to choose from
Cons: had to pay 6euros per day for internet. watch your salad
Location: Fantastic, beach almost as you exit the hotel. Shop across the road. Along the breach no vehicle access meant safe for kids and no traffic noise
Cannot faulty this hotel, we think its location was really great, with lots to do and see, Highly recommend the glass bottom cruise. There were lots of shops and supermarkets near by. All inclusive offer was fantastic value for money, we got breakfast, lunch, dinner, in between the main 3 meals the bar was open with most drinks included alcohol in the all inclusive deal too.

Hotel Globales Sumba Urbanizacion Sa Maniga

Posted Jul 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
We really loved our break in this resort - mother daughter, her son and his friend both 15 years old. Having all inclusive was most convenient especially as the boys could enjoy activities on their own at the hotel and then have a snack etc. We have stayed here 4 times at least from 2003 under the old ownership, usually for a week in October. It was good to recognise some staff from those times. Also good to see some other children who were in their 'teens, for the boys sake. Used to enjoy dancing and old jazz bands which did not seem to be offered as entertainment. We all hope to revisit for a holiday.

Relaxing Stay

Posted May 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
Hotel is situated in a quieter part of of the resort, right on the beach. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is maintained to a high standard and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Our room had a fantastic view of the Med as do most of the bedrooms. We took the all inclusive package which was excellent value for money. Hot food in the dining room tends to be pork or fish, however there is a good selection and variety of cold dishes and salads. To the hotels credit, we did not experience lunch time food being recycled for the evening meal, which can happen at some all inclusive venues. Beware the pudding table if you are watching the calories. We stayed in May which was quiet and very relaxing with plenty of sunbeds available the whole week. Would we recommend this hotel ? well my wife has booked again for August.

"Lovely Hotel"

Posted Sep 21, 2010
This hotel looks very impressive from the outside, the hotel front and entrance are lovely, we were checked in very quickly and given our room. We were traveling with our 4 year old son and were given a room with 3 single beds which we pushed together to give us a bit more space. We did feel the room was cramped for the three of us and that is probably the only negative thing I could say about the hotel. The Location for the beach is second to none, it is one of the best beaches I have ever been on, you can walk out quite a good bit before it gets deep so we felt really safe letting our son play in the water. The hotel staff are pleasant enough (some more than others) but don't understand English too well. The food is wonderfull, the menu is changed daily and would satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. They have so much choice and it is all presented to a very high standard. The hotel also provide a packed lunch if you were going out for the day which was great for us as we were able to stay at the beach all day. The entertainment was just okay, we didn't hang around too much so it would be unfair to comment on the few nights we did see it. The kids club was good although by the time we went the kids were all back at school so most children were too young to be left so we were the only ones there on the days we went. All in all a good hotel, will definately go back for a long weekend with my husband to enjoy the AI. Cala Millor is a wonderfull resort.

Nice hotel, with beach view and local to shopping areas. Pools abit small, indoor pool and gym often not monitored so you tend to get children messing about. Enjoyed stay and it was very relaxing. If you eat at hotel restaurant be prepared to share your allocated table, as headwaiter's clipboard of info isn't always effective.

At top end of promenade 15 mins walk from centre. Quiet location with good selection of local restaurants and shops. As a B&B guest breakfast could be frought with different table every day. Hotel good but very little information available about resort or sightseeing opportunities. Entertainement fair. Poor selection of food at the pool bar. Mixed clientelle mainly German & English.

An excellent stay was had by all 4 of us!

A good location and only a really short walk to the beach and resort centre. The room was a little small but then again you are probably not going to spend all holiday in your room. I used a wheelchair throughout my holiday. Had a good empty fridge which was incredibly useful. We had a small child and the cot supplied was clean and new looking. We went B & B but food in the resort we thought was poor and so we ate mostly at night in the hotel- food quite good. Entertainment was ok and at 9pm most evenings there was a childs disco (for 30 mins) which my daughter loved.

Disappointed

That we booked the Sumba but ended up in the sister hotel the Borneo which was totaly unexpeected as no mention of this at time of booking. Although it turned out to be a better choice for us as more space round pool & outdoor area. Food ok for 4*. cleanliness good. Rooms rather cramped. Despite above we thoroughly enjoyed hoiliday.

OK hotel in a good location

Posted Aug 1, 2007
The Hotel is a bit tired (probably not a 4 star any more), but is very pleasant. The staff seems very nice but do not speak much English. This was OK for us, but in general most of this area is more German speaking than English speaking. We came to the Sumba hotel for a "mini" honey Moon following our wedding. We arrived late at night, and a bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us in the room in an ice bucket, which was a very nice touch. The swimming pool is rather small, but the beach is very nice, with miles of fine sand and clear waters.
