Great Hotel close to all amenities

Posted Jul 29, 2014
The hotel staff was very helpful from the first moment we arrived to the hotel especially a receptionist ned Teo who gave us extra usefull informations about Mallorca. The room was comfortable and clean. The buffet had a wide variety of food with plenty of fruit and vegetable choice. Although there is no swimming pool in the hotel the possibilty of using the sister hotel's just opposite the road makes it very easy. I have read comments about the airport being too close to the hotel and I can confidently say that this is an advantage not a disadvantage as we could hardly notice the flights, plus we had a problem with our transfer, which was an added transfer via Ryanair and has never arrived to pick us up we had to cath a taxi finally which was called by the receptionist for us and if we were further from airport we would have missed our flight and could have paid a triple price for something that we have paid in advance. All in all we can say that everyone made us feel at home within the hotel and for the price and star rating we couldn't have asked for any better. Thank you Amic Gala for the lovely stay.

Value for money

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Price! and the balcony
Cons: Reception staff who speak the local lingo
Location: The beach.Eroski (cheap) supermarket around the corner.Rias Gallegas is a really nice authentic nearby restaurant. 5 EUR bicycle hire nearby
We got this hotel incredibly cheap for peak season. The location was perfect for a short break - close to the airport, close to the beach & with tons of restaurants and bars nearby. My partner and myself were a little disappointed to be put in a triple room (after requesting a double) meaning we had to push two single beds together with one of us inevitably slipping down the gap during the night! Breakfast wasn't great but again, was very cheap. The cafe con leche tasted like chocolate for some reason. One thing that was strange was that some reception staff didn't speak either English or Spanish. They may have spoken German as this is an area popular with German tourists.

Hotel Gala - What a place!

Posted Aug 4, 2011 on Hotels.com
Arrival was a complete disaster. We arrived late at night and was greeted by someone behind reception who did not speak english. Was given room 117... one of the worst rooms I have ever seen. When we realised that you could open the balcony door from the ouside by shaking the door and opening the lock it was time to move rooms. Was eventually given anoither room but have to pay for the extras like air con and a safe. not as cheap as it looked. Area was very rough but very very close to the hotel. Hotels swimming pool wasnt even worth looking at it was so small and did not get any sun after about 10am.

Dear sir : Thanks for your comments . We always recomend not to book cheaper rooms for a minimum suplement you can get a superior room and you don´t have to pay any extra . Since 2014 we don´t have anymore the swimming pool so all our clientes can benefit from Hotel Amic Miraflores *** swimming pool at no extra cost ( same company hotel just 70 metres away )

Average, but i suppose it's ok if you're looking for somewhere cheap

Went to stay in this hotel for 11 nights, it was right in the sticky of July so it was very hot as you would have imagined. Trying to get to sleep at night in the un-air-conditioned rooms was certainley a challenge and the complimentary breakfeast buffet was hardly catered at all to british breakfast tastes (was just continential buffet) The pool is a little small, but for the money I would say it's adequate and would do, just if you can't take the heat much get in a hotel with air conditioning, you won't regret it Cheers BW

Dear Benjamin . THanks for your stay with us . Obviously in Summertime is necessary to book a superior room with air conditioning because of high temperatures in Majorca . This is what we always recommend . Since summer 2014 our guests will benefit from Pool at Hotel Amic Miraflores just oppossite the street and the same company as the Hotel Gala will no longer have swimming pool . See you soon . Andreu

You get what you pay for

Yes its quite a cheap hotel. The swimming pool is to be desired but by looking at the photos you can tell that. However if you want to get away from the usual English boistrousness and be close to the beach and plenty of nice places to go and eat this is the place for you. Doesnt cost an arm and a leg and is within walking distance of most places or a cheap taxi ride.
