Stay in Eco Room with PoolPosted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: location, front desk service, cabs/bus very easy to get to Palma. Can jump right into sea from a dock. Great restaurants to walk to. Pool in hotel room. Room smell, supermarket 5 minute walk. Cons: no coffee in room (5 euro per cup if you want to pay downstairs with no take away), no iron in room, generally pricey (140 euro for one hour massage, 60 euro lunch for two people)

Beautiful hotelPosted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The relax environment and beautiful sea view.
Cons: Maybe a little larger rooms.
Location: This hotel is located about 15 minutes drive from the city center so for the better dinning and shopping you would need to drive to Palma .
This is one of the few hotels located on the beach with access to the sea. The infinity pool has sea salt water and perfectly warm. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The terrace has a beautiful sea view and having a light snack and a drink is a treat. It takes about fifteen minutes to drive into the Palma center so a car is certainly necessary. However it is very relaxing to be away from the crowd and the noise of the city. Over all I would recommend this hotel to couple for a relaxing beautiful surrounding.

10 mins for hot waterPosted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
If you are put in the lovely rooms away from the coast, just turn the hot taps on before you even think about taking a bath/shower. If the hotel is quiet - it takes 10-15mins. Hopefully they will advise future guests, in which case it's not a problem. Other than that - it's almost perfection. Staff attitude and service is excellent, you're left alone but they are always on hand. Understated, and reasonable. The owner looks a bit like Swiss Tony but seemed very genuine. Will definitely return.

March 2014 - 5 night stayPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location is wonderful and the buildings, rooms and decor are all great
Cons: Comp shampoo/shower gel was not replaced throughout the stay which is the least I expect from a 5* hotel. Water in room took 10 mins to heat up.
Location: Location is great. Away from the busy Palma city centre but only a 5-10 minute drive (€10 taxi) away. Nice beach in illetas and Puerto Portals nearby
Had a lovely 5 day break in Mallorca, staying at the Hotel Hospes Maricel & Spa. We booked an Eco Daydreamer room and it was wonderful. Very big and well equiped. Comtemporary decor including an exposed freestading bath. We stayed in room 112 and were lucky enough to have a large terrace as well as our own plunge pool. The plunge pool was not heated though, so not really useable in the cooler winter/spring months. Both the new and old hotel buildings were well maintained and the interiors were very stylish. Lovely pool and terrace overlooking to sea allows for some convenient sunbathing and some enjoyable wine, with views. Staff were very polite. Only minor ciriticisms were that the complimentary shampoo/shower gel were not replaced throughout the stay which is the least I expect from a 5* hotel. Also, the water in the room took at least 10 mins to heat up which made shower and bath times a bit of a chore. I reported the problem twice during our stay but it was never resolved.

Beautiful hotelPosted Mar 18, 2014
I am not usually a person who stays in 5 star hotels however we had the opportunity to stay here for two nights over a weekend. It was off season so it was quiet. Upon arrival the staff we're lovely and greeted us at the door. We sat for complimentary drinks on the most beautiful balcony I have ever seen looking out over the sea. The room was brilliant. Really cool. We had an Eco dreamer. So spacious. Everything you could ask for. As mentioned before we don't usually stay in 5 star hotels and therefore the prices of things when staying in the hotel for us were very expensive. Breakfast for 2 was 62 euros. I was a little shocked. The buffet was all you can eat but we didn't know about how it all worked as the staff did not really explain it well. They then looked very puzzled when we tried to ask them about the cost of various breakfast options. Perhaps this is because people who stay here usually don't ever question cost, I am not sure. After this we ate out in Palma where we found loads of lovely affordable places to eat. We used the spa which was lovely and I splashed out on a pedicure . What a treat. Also got given a complimentary 20 minute back massage. All in all a wonderful experience but I couldnt help but feel (as a commoner) a little out of place. A wonderful setting, staff could have possibly been a little better but we had a great time and I would recommend if you've got the cash... Do it.

Bad staffingPosted Jul 23, 2013
The location of the hotel itself is fantastic, especially for the views and swimming in the exceptionally clear waters. However, the general level of staff is not up to scratch for a hotel charging premium prices. The hotel needs to either drop its prices or improve the staff, it cannot continue with the way it is currently being run.

Spoil yourselvesPosted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: The staff. Always there just before you needed them.
Cons: Nothing we didn't love.
Location: On edge of small town. Buses and taxis easy to find if you don't have a car.
Very comfortable hotel, staff friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Food choices not huge, but well-cooked and presented. Rooms had real wow-factor. Good pool area, and small spa.

Beautiful conversion with gorgeous spaPosted Mar 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent service, friendly staff. Beautiful original building, sensitively converted. The new building is also stunning - where we stayed in an Eco Dreamer room with pool - very luxurious. Spa in new building, great facilities. Will visit again.

This hotel chain must learn that in order to maintain a high standard they must invest in more staff, first class amenities, and more importantly strive to achieve an atmosphere which would encourage clients to return. In particular DO NOT book the eco rooms unless you want total isolation, apart from the traffic, noisy refuse collection and absolutely no facilities. The spa and hairdressing is woefully inadequate. Don't expect decent shampoo, any conditioner or products of any type. In fact the hairdresser is an untidy and frankly dirty looking individual who they have hired ad-hoc. The breakfast which has alkedgedly been aclaimed to be v v v good is average, pool service very poor. Do not waste a lot of money going here. Very disappointed . Will not return and will dissuade people from going here.
