QUIET LOCATION OVERLOOKING SANTA PONSA BAYPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: LOCATION, HIGH STANDARDS, STAFF COMMITMENT.
Cons: TEA AND COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES IN OUR ROOM WOULD BE GREAT FOR AN EARLY MORNING CUPPA.
Location: HOTEL ON AN INCLINE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF SANTA PONSA, TEN MINUTE WALK TO THE CENTRE WITH PLENTY OF SHOPS, RESTAURANT AND SOFT SANDY BEACH.
THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL EMPHASIS THE CULTURE OF THE IBEROSTAR JARDIN DEL SOL SUITES. SIPPING COMPLIMENTARY CHAMPAGNE WHIST BOOKING IN AT RECEPTION WAS THE PERFECT START TO OUR STAY AND THE UPGRADE TO A JUNIOR SUITE AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE! STAFF WERE VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL. TASTEFUL AND COMFORTABLE ACCOMMODATION WITH FANTASTIC SEA VIEWS ACROSS SANTA PONSA BAY. WE RELUCTANTLY DECLINED THE USE OF THE JACUZZI IN OUR ROOM DUE TO THE ISLAND'S WATER CONSERVATION ISSUES, BUT IT WAS A NICE THOUGHT. ALL FACILITIES MODERN AND IN GOOD WORKING ORDER INCLUDING FRIDGE, POWER SHOWER AND AIR CONDITIONING. ON OUR FIRST EVENING A LETTER OF WELCOME FROM THE HOTEL DIRECTOR WAS LEFT IN OUR ROOM WITH A COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLE ON ICE, CHAMPAGNE GLASSES AND RED CARNATION. THE EXTRA EFFORTS OF HOUSE KEEPING WERE ALSO MUCH APPRECIATED. WE LOVED THEIR ANIMAL SCULPTURES MADE FROM FLUFFY WHITE TOWELS WHICH GREETED US EVERY NIGHT AND THE TOILETRIES AND CHOCOLATES WERE MOST WELCOME. THE RESTAURANT, SITUATED ON THE FOURTH FLOOR, WAS RUN BY EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY STAFF. FABULOUS RANGE OF FOOD TO SUIT ALL TASTES. INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SEATING, THE LATTER ON THE BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE BOATS ANCHORED IN THE BAY. PROVISION WAS MADE FOR US TO HAVE AN EARLY BREAKFAST ON MORNING OF DEPARTURE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR FLIGHT. QUIET LOCATION TO ENJOY A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP, ONLY NOISE WAS THE SOUND OF THE SURF FROM THE BAY.

Nice hotel + free upgradePosted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Housekeeping, cleanliness of the rooms.
Cons: Reception picking up the phone.
Location: Definitely boat rides, walks on the beach and bars. The restaurants are not the best. Rosa knows what is out there to do, she'll hook you up.
I loved Rosa's uplifting energy. She is amazing with dealing with guests. In general I had an amazing time, it was great the free upgrade =) felt special being allowed a VIP room and the VIP area. Overall I had a great time. Oh and Sandra always left the room spotless!

Perfect hotel for a quiet holidayPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: The junior suite we stayed in, the pool was amazing, the style and decor of the hotel was in the top 5 hotels I've stayed in before
Cons: Some of the staff need to be taught that serving a couple younger than the average age of the residents is as important as serving the older generatio
Location: The location was probably not great, but the immediate surroundings were visually stunning
Great hotel to stay in if you are a couple, me and my girlfriend stayed here in August and enjoyed a very relaxing stay.

Good HotelPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Excellent Pool, Restaurant & balcony.
Cons: Slightly under sold in the write up
Location: The location was a bit down market touristy, so a car might be of use if staying for more than a few days.
My wife and I booked the hotel for a short break and were nicely surprised by the high standard of the hotel. Our suite was very comfortable. The food was great and we enjoyed taking breakfast and dinner on the balcony. The pool was beautiful and very quiet. There were ample sun loungers, so no difficult there. For me the best part was being able to swim off the rocks in the sea. The views from the hotel at night were great as well, as they looked across the bay to the various hotel lights on the other side. The surrounding area was quiet, although it was more down market touristy than we usually go for.

great place to relaxPosted Sep 2, 2013
fabulous hotel and pretty much everything I expected from the details on line and other customer reviews. The only things that let it down were the gym, not much equipment or space and the beds which were extremely hard though speaking to some of the other guests they liked the firm beds. I guess it's personal preference.

Beautiful hotel, great service. Noisy rooms.Posted Aug 31, 2013
Beautiful hotel, great service. Noisy rooms. We had to complain and change room after 2 days. They gave us a better room at no extra cost. There was water dripping down one of the walls and we could hear water coming down through the pipes every time somebody would use the shower, flush the toilet, at the floor above... A bit disappointing for that but overall we had a great relaxing stay. We stayed during the second week of august. Perfect for couples who want to relax. There were no kids at all. Very close to the center (Santa Ponsa) where there is a beach and bars and restaurants.

What to expect from star prestigePosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: Star prestige, rooms, facilities, views staff the list could go on
Cons: Some evening meals felt like left overs from the night before
Location: Beautiful hotel and grounds, not keen on the surrounding area
We booked a weeks stay in the prestige side of the hotel. On arrival we were roomed on the other side of the hotel without being told. We made our disappointment known to the manager in the morning and was given a pool side room on our requested prestige side of the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and made us feel extremely well looked after. The food was a wide variety, satisfying many different tastes, unfortunately some evening meals felt a little bit like left overs, but most of the time it was a sight to behold. The room was great, ours was the junior suite swim up, so a very short walk to the elegant pool and amazing views. Evenings were spent on the roof terrace over looking the ocean and the friendly staff saw to our every wish. Outside the hotel was disappointing, but at least the beach was only a 15min walk away. Overall I guess the most important question is "would you go again" and the answer is simple YES!!!!

Stunning!Posted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: All rooms are sea view - stunning!
Cons: The wait for the lifts also should have floor numbers to se when the lift doors open so you don't get out at the wrong floor.
Location: Fantastic location!
A fantastic 4 star hotel and certainly lives up to the 4 star. Rooms extremely comfortable, good beach location with stunning views but away from the hustle and bustle of the town (10 min walk away). Staff extremely accommodating and food out of this world.
