Perfect location, on the beachPosted Oct 14, 2013
We had a room overlooking the sea which was just breathtaking. The room, staff & food were all fabulous. We would definately return & recommend it. We went to Palma in a taxi which is only 10 mins away. A beautiful restaurant close to the hotel (5 mins walk) is Il paridiso.

Worst place everPosted Sep 2, 2009
The rooms are not air conditioned, the bed are extremely hard, and not confrotbale at all, the rooms are not very clean. the service is the worst ever. All staff are unprofessional. the only good thing, is that the hotel has a beach. food was awful.

I wouldn't go backPosted Jun 10, 2009
The hotel wasn't completely horrible but it wasn't pleasant. The receptionist was very rude from beginning to end. After checking in, I went to my room to discover there was no air conditioning, the tv didn't work, and the phone didn't work. The view was pretty and there was a complementary breakfast. Plus a nice pool. So, like I said, not completely horrible. But during the summer (which was when I stayed at the hotel), I need air conditioning. It was miserable without it. Plus, it was not near anything but was able to take a bus anywhere for 1,25 euro/trip (not bad).

The hotel location is fabPosted Oct 10, 2008 on Hotels.com
Fab location and the bay is lovely. There is a very laid back feel and its not full of Brits...A nice cosmopolitan feel. Room clean, hate the twin beds that seem to be standard in Spain. Lovley balcony with sea view. Its my second stay in 6 months and will definately go there again. For the most part the staff are friendly with the odd member not wanting to help or provide any customer care. Breakfast not impressed by...But dinners great...Over all a lovley stay and would recommend...

Would go backPosted Jul 16, 2008
Great hotel (La Cala), right next to Santa Ana. The hotel staff was wonderful--very helpful, courteous, and warm. The three meals a day all-inclusive deal made our stay very comfortable. We even got an ocean view room for no extra charge. The beach was awesome and right in front of the hotel. The rooms could you more comfortable, especially the beds--but would go back again.

good but 3 starsPosted Jul 6, 2008
The staff was very friendly. The beach was so close. Our room was a basic one with street front. ie why terrible noisy and we could not sleep properly. Do not forget it is on cala major not palma de mallorca.

Not too badPosted May 28, 2008
If you are looking to stay somewhere on a budget this is the place, but I wouldn't recommend it in the summer. No air conditioning. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean but dated. The food was ok. If you are traveling to Palma to taste the food I would recommend eating out, but it was perfect to hold you over until your next meal. Again, I recommend if you are on a budget and want to stay close to the beach.

Disappointed with arrival at receptionPosted May 21, 2008 on Hotels.com
We were very disappointed on arrival that we were told to leave our passports at reception, which I believe they have no right to do, and also they asked us to sign a form which wasn't filled out and was printed in spanish so we couldn't understand it. When we asked what it was for, they replied 'the police', would not give us any further information. This was meant to be a romantic weekend away as we had just found out we were having a baby and we instantly felt like criminals! Other than that the hotel was fine in a good location on the beach, however resort was very built up. The rooms had a lovely view and were adequate, but I wouldn't agree with the star rating of this hotel. It is a little shabby. Food was good, plenty of it and service in the restaurant was excellent.

Clean and friendly, food not goodPosted Jun 17, 2007
Santa Ana is very clean and the staff are very friendly and informative. Decor is dated although clean. Breakfast was what you would expect, toast, ceral, fresh fruit. Evening meal was of a very poor standards. Very closely to Palma and you can get the number 3 from the main street and be in Palma in approx. 20 mins. Public transport was excellent. Beach is clean and good toliets, beach bar food was also poor.
