Just okPosted Aug 16, 2013
Pros: Location, near the beach, staff
Cons: Comfort/Cleanliness of the room
Location: Near the beach, restaurants, shops, etc.
Pros: The location is close to the beach, restaurants, a little supermarket, etc. The staff was helpful with our questions and when booking activities. The room has a tiny kitchenette, which came in handy for us. There is a really nice pool with a center bar. Cons: Regardless of the room you book, you will not see the sea. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the sheets/towels were worn and stiff. No free wifi, and one of the two computers you can pay to use was not working. Although the pool is nice, everyone gets up early to lay their towels out and claim a lounger...who then do not use the loungers for hours. So others who also pay don't get the chance to enjoy the pool area too. They definitely need rules/restrictions on it.

A great time with our 2 year oldPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was exactly the relaxing time we needed for a short holiday with our two year old. Calm, warm water a short walk away from the ocean, and a nice pool with very nice bartenders who worked extremely hard. The neighborhood is fine, a bit on the partying side and the restaurants nearby were so-so, but we didn't come expecting too much.

Brilliant week!Posted Aug 6, 2012
Pros: Pool, balcony view and friendly staff
Cons: Beds a little hard
Location: Perfect for everything
For the price this hotel was fantastic value for money. The location was perfect for the beach and just a short walk from Magaluf's bars and clubs. The pool is one of the best features.. spotlessly clean and the area is really well kept. Nice chilled feeling during the day which is just what I was looking for. The staff are really friendly too. Genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and I found that nothing was too much trouble for them. Even when busy they still would have a smile on their face....really nice people, which gave the place a nice atmosphere. The room was basic but a nice lay out, decent shower and a nice pool facing balcony with a sea view which was an added bonus! I would stay here again without thinking about it, had a brilliant week and would recommend to anyone!

Decent Hotel and Superb LocationPosted Aug 28, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from the beach. The surrounding area has plenty of bars and restaurants. A big positive is it's a pretty chilled out and quiet area at night. However, if you're a party-goer and crave the noise then the infamous Magaluf is just a 10 minute stroll away. Overall, the hotel does what it says on the tin. Room was ok but the major plus factors were the size of the pool and the awesome location- oh and the barman makes AWESOME mojitos :)

Great location in Palma NovaPosted Jul 27, 2011 on Hotels.com
July 2011 Just back from holidays and already we are looking at going back next year. Staff initially appeared cold but warmed through the week, they were very helpful. Accommodation was compact but had everything required, rooms were cleaned regularly. The sunbeds around the pool were reserved from the night before which proved frustrating given some of them were never used the following day! There is an electronic gate at the back of the complex giving you access to the main strip. Over all it was a great holiday would recommed this hotel. Dee Co Meath, Ireland

Good, but nothing specialPosted Jun 6, 2011
We spent a week at Sol Lunamar in May 2011. It's just what we expected from a 3 star self catering holiday. The room was fairly basically furnished, but clean. Air con worked well (€15 deposit for the remote). Kitchen facilities were very basic, but we never intended doing much cooking, just used the crockery and cutlery for cold meals. The pool was pretty good, plenty of sun beds available at any time. Location is pretty good - the gate behind the pool leads directly to shops and restauarants, with the beach just a few yards further. No noise from outside at night time, although you might have to get used to the fridge and air con if you're a light sleeper. But it's only a short walk from the main strip of late night bars and clubs if that's what you're after. Palmanova/Magaluf is your typical "Blackpool with sun" type of resort, but there are plenty of opportunities to see more traditional Majorca. The capital Palma is definitely worth a visit, very reminiscent of Barcelona. And the train journey to Soller is lovely.

sol lunamar mallorcaPosted May 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
I would recommend this hotel on the basis of its excellent location in palma nova and its easy access to the beach and ameneties through the rear entrance and it is within easy walking distance of magaluf if thats your thing.Price wise it was excellent value,on the down side the beds and bedding where uncomfortable and not much information available about the hotel or local trips or ameneties by either staff or printed matter.
