Great hotel & great location

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Myself & 2 friends stayed here in Aug 2014 for a short break & loved it. Great hotel with super friendly staff, in a great location - minutes from the beach, supermarket, ATM & lots of tasty restaurants - try Fusion opposite! Couldn't have been better.

Hotel Portofino Ciudad Jardin Mallorca

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Really well maintained. Cleanliness was excellent. Lovely pool area and reasonably priced restaurant. All staff were really professional.
Cons: If I had to choose something it would probably be to have a nightly special meal offer; maybe a Spanish dish,Mallorcan dish or a local speciality.
Location: The bus stops on the corner and takes around 20 minutes into the city but you can walk along the front too which is a pretty walk.
We were thrilled with this hotel. The staff were really professional. It's a stone's throw from the beach but has a lovely pool too. The restaurant is relaxed and we could sit on the terrace by the pool and eat too.

Lovely hotel in great location

Posted Jul 28, 2014
The hotel was close to the airport so a taxi transfer was quick and inexpensive. It was a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach and there were lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Palma was about a 50 minute walk along the coast or 10 minutes by bus from the top of the road. The hotel was clean and comfortable with very helpful staff. Breakfast was very nice and could be eaten in the restaurant or on the terrace by the pool. Will definitely return!

Loved it! Thank you!

We loved this hotel! It's about two doors away from a fantastic beach for starters, buffet was delicious and leisurely for those of us who sleep in, and the staff all were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly all hours of the day. They helped us rent a car, figure out where to do currency exchange and learn other local business hours. We stayed there a week, had a wonderful time and would happily stay again. Mallorca in general is a very nice place with a ton to do, see and eat.

Friendly hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2014
The only fault with the hotel is that there are a limited amount of sun beds available and non-residents use the pool and sun beds meaning some residents have to lie on towels on the floor.

Third stay.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Friendly helpful staff good breakfast nice pool
Cons: Superior sea view rooms are fine. Tea/coffee making in room would be useful
Location: Near city centre excellent beach 50 yards. Busy with locals at weekends.
Just as good as our other visits. Great location. Good restaurants nearby, try Fusion grill opposite hotel.

Excellent hotel with an excellent location

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: Everything said above.
Cons: The A/C interface control. Would enable room occupants to control the room temperature by them self (at least we couldn't even though we mentioned it)
This hotel is all you wish for if you are up for being the whole day on the beach or cruising around the island. Rooms are not that big, but then who spends time in the room when there are such a nice beaches. The only negative point about this hotel is that only several rooms face the seaside (a bit more expensive ones) and it's a real shame that none of them is oriented towards the swimming pool in the courtyard. The hotel stuff is really helpful and always smiling. Got some useful tips for finding hidden beaches with crystal clear water, which Mallorca after all doesn't lack with. Anyways, highly recommended and will definitely return here if I ever visit Mallorca again!

Quaint and comfortable

We had major jet lag so we enjoyed the quiet neighborhoods as we rested. we also enjoyed walking along the beach, gazing at sights and enjoying local cuisine. coffee was a blessing in the morning and we were smitten with staff, including Catalina and Tamala. they went above and beyond to assist us in our comfort. My husband and I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel for the money

Posted May 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is the fourth time that I have stayed in this hotel it is in a great location only seconds to the beach and a short bus ride into the centre of Palma. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, rooms clean and adequate. The area has some excellent restaurants, it is quiet in the evening at this time of year.

Nice modern Hotel, but small standard rooms

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Modern, clean, friendly staff
Cons: Sixe of standard rooms. Romm decor. More power outlets (only 1).
Location: Limited restaurant and bars. Need cycle to get about. Also nice and quiet (In May) unlike centre.
The main hotel building was nice and modern but the rear block internally in dated and the rooms in this block are very small even for a standard room (which is called superior for some reason). The staff were excellent and the hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was average. The hotel location is too far from the centre to walk but fine to cycle or bus in. Not a great selection of restaurants in the area, we had to revisit 2. One advantage of the location is the hotel is very close to a nice beach where you have nice views of Palma centre, cathedral and mountains. Very nice sunsets also. Would recommend the hotel, maybe not for a first visit as a bit far out, but great for subsequent visits when you want a bit of peace away from the masses of tourists.
