Enjoyable!Posted Sep 29, 2012
Pros: reception staff, entertainment
Cons: very thin bedroom walls
Location: location is very good with the beach at the end of the road.
Booking in easy, although we had requested top floor room with Expedia the reception staff had no info from them, but offered us a choice of two rooms but not top floor. After 3 nights we had to ask for a move as walls are so thin and we could not get any sleep with man in next room snoring loudly! The staff were really helpful and offered us a choice of two rooms again saying one was a quiet one which was lovely for the rest of our stay. The breakfast food was excellent with a wide choice but main course for the evening meals was not top quality food so we filled up with soup, salad and fruit. The entertainment was good and the hotel in general had a friendly atmosphere so all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel....most guests Spanish and elderlyPosted Apr 30, 2012
Pros: Very friendly accomodating staff
Cons: pool closed cos there was no life guard. Wifi available at a price per day...for each laptop!!!!!! Occasional nasty smell from nearby sewerage works
Location: Excellent location....quiet ....but close enough to beach and night life
Staff very friendly....disappointed pool was closed....apart from that very good 3* hotel :)

Off Season at the Rey Don Jaime (late March)Posted Apr 11, 2011 on Hotels.com
A very much enjoyed off season week at the Rey Don Jaime. Last week in March we did not expect much from the weather but got pleasantly surprising sunshine for the whole week, highs of 22 degrees during the day, jumper required at night. Hotel accomodation was good and very clean. Staff pleasant and helpful .Food Ok nothing to write home about, but half board at the rate we got it still very good value for money. Of note was the experience of sharing the hotel and poolside with 400 spanish seniors who where on the Mondo Seniors Tour, at times very loud and always entertaining. We know Santa Ponsa well and were not surprised by what we got off season, would we go back again at the same time ? Yes :)

Great Location - Friendly Staff - Good FacilitiesPosted May 3, 2008
Booked solely from Expedia site for a weekend break and was extremely pleased with our choice. The hotel is only 100 metres from the beach and general bars etc. Santa Ponsa was rather quiet ( 28th April 2008 ) weather was lovely and we thoroughly our visit. The hotel was very clean and the staff helpfull. Breakfast was typical buffet style well organised and plentiful - bacon eggs etc if you wanted it. Nice pool area and lounge. We would definately use this hotel again.

A pleasant surprise.Posted Apr 9, 2007
Our stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very plush, good food , nice clean rooms and a nice beach near by and plenty of bars. We will be planning to return with better weather next time.
