Lovely farmhouse B&BPosted Dec 13, 2013
Pros: Gave you the experience of staying in a traditional farmhouse that had been tastefully renovated.
Cons: Nothing - everything was excellent
Location: 8 Miles from Chester, a walled City, with history and excellent shopping.
Very warm welcome when we arrived, we were shown around the farmhouse and then to our room. We were offered coffee and fruit bread in the lounge, which we accepted. The coffee and fruit bread was very well presented. Lovely log fire and a nice sitting room. Bedroom was very spacious and the bathroom was clean and provided all of the necessary toiletries. Breakfast was first class and well presented. The proprietors made you very welcome and were non-intrusive. Would definitely recommend this B&B, and would stay there again.

Warm, welcoming and characterfulPosted Apr 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay. I had a warm welcome, and a pleasant tea, and a comfortable and spotless en suite bedroom. My hosts could not have been more helpful or professional and I started the morning with a full English breakfast which set me up for the day.. I doubt if I shall need to be in their locality any time soon, but if I am I shall look forward to staying with them. The Indian they recommended nearby was excellent.

Delightful in every way .. from the warmest welcome, to the roaring log fire, spotless, comfortable room, delicious breakfast - and not least, Nick and Helen's friendly, helpful advice on the best places to eat (try the Sandstone - excellent!).

Fabulous stay in great locationPosted Feb 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
Nick and Helen should be cloned for other B&Bs as they are perfectly suited for the role of host which they accomplish with flair and ease. Their extremely comfortable house is beautifully located within gorgeous Cheshire countryside; and you are looked after from the second you pull into the courtyard. Our room was large and comfortable with a real feather duvet and cotton bedding, the en-suite was immaculate and shower good too. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent - locally sourced sausages, everything you'd expect from a good hotel plus Helen's particularly good home made plum jam. All in all a great stay, thank you.
