Dear Mr. Sanger,Firstly, many thanks for choosing the be.HOTEL for your stay in Malta and for forwarding your feedback regarding the possibility of bugs in your previous room. This is indeed a very serious matter and we have immediately taken action about your insinuation of bugs present in the room. We have urgently called in experts in the field, which after a thorough inspection of the room done, they have assured us that there is no sign of any bugs whatsoever and certified the room as Bug Free. To be honest, this is such a relief for us, as this could have had serious repercussions on the operation of the hotel. Furthermore, in order to be 100% safe, we have also scheduled a second inspection and this too resulted in the negative. The room is absolutely clean.Meanwhile, I do understand that one can easily jump into such a conclusion, especially in view of the bug alert there currently is all over mainland Europe, however, these may likely be mosquito bites which are quite similar if not identical – mosquitoes are unfortunately in season at the moment in Malta and can be found everywhere especially in areas close to the sea like in our case. Whilst we’re sorry to hear about your situation, we can assure you that these have not been caused by any bugs in your room. We do however thank you for bringing this up to our attention.
