Hotel is very clean and provide a nice atmosphere.Localization is perfect and is great value for your money.Food is ok but if you are person who like different type of food every day then is a lot of places around the hotel where you can eat or drink.Every day hotel organising the karoke or salsa dancing or some fun inside the pub.To Qwara beach is just 10 min away it is not sundy beach but still nice. The closer sundy beach is Amazonia on side Dolmen Hotel which is not so faraway from Canifor. There is the Post office too and Promende.Pint just 1 eur in each pub, drink just 2 eur, bus ticket just 2.6 eur per day,I recomend to take cityseeting for 15 eur where you have cruise included, trip to Gozo just 15 eur too. It's not so farway to Mediterian Aqua Park where you can have interactions with Dolhpis and 90 min away is Sycily good to take a day tour too.So we recomend our hotel because staff is very nice and waiter Eugenio and John are very professional. We recomend massage person too with Michelle Cordina in Canifor. We were happy there.

This is definitely not a four star abode.Posted May 5, 2010
We read all the reviews about this hotel prior to booking, and should really have taken more care when studying them. Unfortunately, the negative comments from previous travellers staying at this hotel were indeed similar to our own experiences. If we had not prepay ed for this hotel, we would have found another within one day.

Im not going back to this hotelPosted Oct 4, 2009 on Hotels.com
I used this hotel only for meting my sister. This hotel is not a 4 stars hotel. The buffe breakfast had low standard, no fruit. The poolarea was small. We had to pay extra for using the fridge. The ACC was too noise to use at night.

Adequate and overall SatisfacroryPosted Aug 11, 2009 on Hotels.com
I've read a few harsh reviews on the Canifor however this hotel represented excellent value for money. It's well situated near the coast and on top of the bus terminus and amongst bars/shops etc. Rooms are a bit small and the hotel itself has all the facilities you need although they are a bit 'worn out' Food was decent enough with plenty of it and ample choice (cooked breakfast every morning bacon, eggs, sausage etc) The dining area was a bit hectic and packed out at times due to it lacking space. Overall if you want a good base with good food, location and you plan on actually doing stuff on holiday then The Canifor is a great choice but if you are the type that likes to hang around the Hotel relaxing a lot using the facilities and entertainment then the Canifor is probably not for you (the pool and outside area is not really up to much)

Worst 4 star hotel in the worldPosted Oct 26, 2008
Although when you walk through the front door you get the impression this is a nice hotel, when you have spent 10 mins there you will realise it isn't. We booked bed and breakfast although we only went to breakfast once as the standard of food was very poor; although there are plenty of places locally you can buy a really good breakfast for less then 5 euros. Everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel was extra including; tea and coffee making facilities, room safe, fridge and drinking water. We arrived very early in the morning and my wife asked for a drink of water and was directed to the vending machine. On relextion we wish we had rented a self-catering appartment in the local area. I feel really sorry for those who go all inclusive!

Hotel CaniFOUR?Posted Jun 17, 2008
I don't really quite know how this hotel managed a four star rating. An 11 Euro charge to use the fridge and a further eleven Euro charge to use the room's safety deposit box. The Breakfast was completely devoid of fruit, we ended up buying our own for breakfast. The Orange juice was low grade 1970's orange squash and the coffee came from some kind of dispenser designed by someone who obviously didnt drink the stuff. Our biggest gripe was the lift, that trapped us, in darkness for several minutes. The emergency alarm didn't work and it was a traumatic time for all concerned. How about a rename to the CaniTWO Hotel?

Quite goodPosted Jan 30, 2008
The hotel was good and clean. It has indoor swimming pool but that's very small. The outdoor pool is slightly bigger.
