Lovely calm hotel.

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff, nice and clean and not too hectic.
Cons: It would be nice if the coffee and tea at breakfast didn't come out of a machine, and was freshly made.
Location: Azure Window, Rabat and the Citadella, Ramla Beach, Blue Lagoon, Ggantija Temples
Good, central location to Xaghra - easy walk to bus stops and all other villages and towns very close. Lovely places to eat on the square.

Great outdoors but not comfortable room

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: nice and friendly staff, fresh food and drinks, both outdoor pools and the garden.
Cons: Change the AC, install ventilation in the bathroom
Location: Not much...not even a proper shops to buy water or any fruits etc, we had to drive to near by city to find a small grocery.
In general our stay was fine, nice and friendly staff, fresh food and drinks,we liked both outdoor pools and the garden. The problem was the AC- a very old one and not functioning properly(was making only noise) and it was extremely hot in the room. Also the canal in the bathroom was really bad smelling and there wasn't any ventilation in the bathroom.

Great hotel in great location

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Lovely pools, great restaurant with amazing food at the hotel and restaurant staff were great. Room very quiet
Cons: More information at the hotel on the local area
Location: Lovely restaurants 5 mins walk away in the square, lovely coastal places to visit and beaches. Easy ferry ride across to Malta.
Had a great stay, Xagra and Gozo were both very peaceful and not too busy or touristy. Lovely pools and beaches around and places to visit. Roads were quiet. Enjoyed snorkelling at Malsaforn and San Blas Bay but just beware of jelly fish

Nice hotel with character

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Rooms, breakfast, living area
Location: You would need to rent a car or use public transport. Not near a beach.

Peaceful Getaway

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: The location is central and we had a car with a GPS so we were able to travel around the island without a problem.
We decided to take the half board option at this hotel and we were so glad we did. The breakfasts were fine but the dinners were fantastic. Would love to go back anytime.

Beautiful hotel in lovely, quiet location.

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: I liked the location, the style and the comfortable feeling of this hotel.
Cons: Wifi in the rooms.
Location: The location is perhaps a bit out-of-the-way, but it is quiet and has a nice view as well.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cornucopia in Gozo. The hotel has an appealing old-world feel, the grounds are beautifully kept, the pools are modern and clean with excellent landscaping, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the meals served at their own restaurant were delicious and definitely superior to many that I've had at other hotels. I would be happy to return to the Cornucopia.

A delightful hotel, quiet and peaceful.

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Pros: Lovely old building and pool area - lots of flora and fauna decked the buildings and walls of the hotel - very pretty. Great ambience.
Cons: Minor points such as door locks from the 1970s, could be updated
Location: Superb location on the edge of Xhagra and overlooking the valley leading down to the sea and resort of Marselforn.
We stayed initially for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience of the hotel and Gozo. The staff were very helpful and we liked the slower pace of life. We then returned to Malta but after a couple of days missed Gozo and the Cornucopia hotel so much we went back for a further three days to enjoy the peaceful tranquil ambience of the hotel and the much less busy beaches and towns of Gozo. The towns were beginning their fiesta times and the villages of Gozo come alive and are so beautiful. The Cornucopia hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy all of this with two swimming pools and a sensitive, charming and characterful environment. We would go back again and recommend it highly for those people who want a bit of peace and quiet!

Relaxing farmhouse style hotel

Posted Aug 2, 2013
Pros: friendly and relaxing
Cons: bar closed too early!
Location: Situated in a pretty village with a good choice of restaurants which you could walk to
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely location with swimming pools and plenty of sun loungers. Only slight problem was the water supply in the room - very old fashioned shower and low pressure meant unable to shower on a couple of occasions.
