Nice Hotel near all the main facilitiesPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Closeness to the beach & other facilities. All the Facilities you would require in a Hotel.
Cons: Staff training on the Reception staff & more attention to detail on condition of the hotel.
Hotel is undrgoing an upgrade , but didn't impact our holiday except for dusty floors where the staff were working. The staff were very helpful & pleasant, with the exception of the Reception staff who seemed very badly trained & not at all helpfull. The food was good & suitable for families. They have just opened a pool facility on the roof for 18 , so no children which was great.

Good foodPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Finish construction of hotel before inviting guests
Location: A little far from town
The hotel had just opened and there were a number of problems. We were on the 8th floor and our air conditioning wasn't working (We were then changed to a lower floor with working air conditioning). Also ther was a considerable amount of noise from the 9th floor which was still being worked on.

It's the details!Posted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was fine but the lack of effort on details made it all in all a disappointing experience. Although mentioned several times it was our wedding night, no effort was made to even offer an upgrade or give our stay a personal touch. Our luggage was not brought to our room when arrived at midnight. We were unable to get room service breakfast as we only stayed one night and this had to be ordered the day before. The phone in the room didn't work and there were drilling works next door from 8am. All in all, I won't be staying there again.

Hmmm...Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: Breakfast had a nice spread Free Wi-Fi (although not with the strongest signal) - in this day and age hotels should not be charging for this benefit.
Cons: Better communication, also should not be putting customers in rooms right next to the works.
Location: There is bus station to get around Malta a few minutes away. Ferry service to Gozo and Comino is a 15 minute walk.
The hotel I'd imagine is actually quite nice, that is when there is no construction work on site! We were here for 9 nights, we were not told that there would be construction works taking place at the time of booking (Expedia should do better here). The room itself was nice, kept clean by room service. Didn't bother staying in the hotel during the day due to construction works, therefore did not try the pool. Close to a bus station.

Ok hotel we had high hopesPosted May 10, 2014
Pros: Nothing really
Cons: Common sense
Staff very unfriendly. We requested breakfast to go offsite but staff wanted to charge us for it. Disgraceful. We paid for all the meals. We were told that we could miss flight if we wanted early breakfast. Please avoid this hotel. Not to mention all the building and mainentance work at our time of stay.

Excellent value for moneyPosted Oct 26, 2013
Location: Plenty of places to eat nearby and just a short walk to Bugibba square where there are more.
I was beginning to be a bit concerned about this hotel before we left home as the more recent reviews were not so good, but I need not have worried. It more than lived up to expectations given what we paid. All areas were clean and well kept and although the bedroom decor was a little dated it was fine. We had maid service every day. The breakfast was typical of any large European hotel and there was so much food on offer that I don't know why anyone could have cause to complain, there was so much choice that there had to be something for everyone to eat! It was very busy between 9 and 9.30am, but it is open from 7am until 10am. We liked the fact that they provided towels for the pool, and there was loads of space around the pool. They also have a very well stocked library, so don't fill your suitcase with books! We like clean and well maintained hotels, and I can assure you that if that is what you are looking for, you won't be disappointed at the San Antonio. No regrets about choosing it, and we would go back.

Very good facilities and excellent situationPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: Facilities, location and friendly
Cons: Not much
Great hotel near interesting beach sands and rocks - took up snorkelling as fish life near shore beautiful. Close to bus station which allowed ready access round island for walker, Gozo, Valletta and Rabat. Generally restful and very enjoyable holiday. Good pool with plenty of sun beds, fitness room, sauna, etc

Good location below average hotel [San Antonio]Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Below average. Food average at a push. Room OK although beds not the most comfortable. Air con made the right noises ie NOISY but did nothing.
Cons: Another hotel would be a definite improvement.
Location: Location is ideal for bus travel as bus station which takes you to the main tourist spots is 2 mins away. Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby.
Great holiday. Plenty to see and do in Malta but if your a beech worshiper another holiday would be more appropriate. The Island is steeped in history, plenty of places and museums to visit. Bus travel is easy and cheap. It was our fourth visit.

Two week holidayPosted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: The New pool area
Cons: Rooms and food
Location: there are Boat trips history visit all are very close as Malt is not that big
This is the second time we have stayed here the first time two years ago we were so impress came back this year. I understand the Hotel is closing for a refit looking at the hotel this year should had shut start of the year. Rooms look shabby and tired it looks as they were trying to get one more year out of it. Air con not working balcony doors not opening and toilets did not flush between 08:30 and 10:00 on 4 days out of a 10 day stay we were not the only room affected. The food was OK nothing to Wright home about. The best part of the hotel is the pool area which was replaced last year. It will be interesting to see how they complete the refit there are plenty of nicer hotels in the area so check these out also.
