Hotel JulianiPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Professional and charming staff, great location with crisp and clean interior.
A short visit to Malta, looking to be near Valetta - this hotel was perfectly placed for easy transport options with a lovely coastal situation. Spinola Bay is charming and lively - you can sail, fish and swim here, or just wander and watch the passing scene, plus there are plenty of restuarents for all tastes. The frequent local buses pass by opposite the hotel.

lovely small independant hotelPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Small and personal, nice rooms and laid back atmosphere. friendly staff. Location is great, price is good.
Cons: go for two weeks not one !
Location: Great location for getting around on buses, the harbour has plenty of restaurants to satisfy most. very nice at night time.
Our first stay, we booked the cheapest room available it was excellent value for money, window to a side street but it didnt matter as the room was very practical, large and comfortable. The room saving we made was spent in the restaurant Zest, the food was excellent. The position of the hotel is great overlooking the bay and when we go back we will try to book one of the rooms with a sea view and balcony. For our first trip to Malta the location was perfect and hoping on and off the buses was no problem as they stopped just outside the hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

Lovely hotel, great locationPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: The location, rooms, swimming pool
Cons: Area around the swimming pool, information provided to guests in the room
Location: Near to cafes, restaurants, treatments. You can get a bus anywhere around the island, it's about 40 mins to Valletta and very cheap.
We stayed in the ambassador suite which was really lovely. A huge room with 2 tv's and a great view directly overlooking the bay. The bed was very comfortable too.

Excellent StayPosted Mar 26, 2014
We had an excellent stay for a long weekend in March at the Juliani. The room was a good size, clean and well set out, the view from this non-upgraded room was good if you stepped onto the tiny-stand-up-only balcony but I never expected more. Just a word about parking, whilst it advertises as having a car park there are in fact only 7 spaces and you need to be good at 48-point turns to get in or out (hire a small car!); I'm not sure there would be anywhere nearby to park if it were full. Didn't eat evening meals at the Hotel as there were so many restaurants within 2 minutes stroll, but the breakfasts were buffet style with plenty of choices and excellent coffee. The staff were helpful and attentive, sorted out a booking issue with Expedia without fuss. I would stay here again.

A small hotel but beautifully formed.Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Compact, stylish decor and free wifi.
Location: The hotel is right at the head of the bay with a bus stop opposite and anything else one might need all around. A very lively location.
I had a lovely time and have no criticisms at all. All the staff were particularly helpful and pleasant. The breakfasts were good but other food not very inspiring though since the hotel is surrounded on all sides by a wide variety of restaurants of all kinds it hardly matters.

Pros: The hotel is clean, tidy and the staff are professional. The rooms are lovely and well kitted out. There were 2 restaurant and a cafe/bar.
Cons: No issues
Location: Perfectly located in between restaurants and bars and walking distance to many things to do.
We stayed 4 days. The hotel is clean, tidy and the staff are professional. The rooms are lovely and well kitted out. We didn't have a great view but there were better rooms, which our friends had and their room was even better. Absolutely no hesitation to return

Pros: Nice Boutique hotel directly on the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Large room with nice bathroom and a view of spinola bay.
Location: Nice location with lots of nice restuarants on your doorstep. Local bus can be caught just outside the hotel.
Dined in lots of nice restaurants and used the local bus to explore other parts of the island.
