Great hotel on Spinola Bay

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: The staff, roof top terrace & pool and use of the car park.
Location: Located right on the edge is Spinola Bay a very vibrant area of Malta. Lots of places nearby for alfresco dining.
A great small boutique hotel on the edge of Spinola Bay. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Roof top terrace and pool a huge bonus to come back to after hot days sight seeing. Hotel we'll situated for a variety of restaurants to suit all budgets. A short walk to Paceville and you will find more restaurants & bars, including the highly recommended 'Chapter One'. Take a stroll around Potomasa marina and admire the luxury yachts. We had a hire car and use of the hotel car park was a real bonus. For those wanting to use the busy bus service stops are situated right outside the hotel. We had a side room with window looking over the bay.

Nice hotel close to many restaurants and bars.

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Small and not overcrowded.
Cons: The breakfast could be hotter but there was plenty to choose from.
Location: There are bus trips and local transport that can take you around the island.
We really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The swimming pool is on the roof and offers fantastic views and many days there were few people using the facilities and it was nice you could use the pool without bumping into other residents.

Pay extra for a room with a view over Spinola Bay.

Posted Sep 20, 2014
We had a standard room which was as depicted on the hotel website. Room 608 was clean, comfortable and quiet but quite dark. We were overlooking a narrow shaft of walls with a very small landscaped courtyard below. I would visit again but would book a room with a view over Spinola Bay.

Overlooking Spinola Bay, peaceful and relaxed

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Location: It is in a nice bay with a good selection of restaurants and has good bus connections to Valletta and also to the north of the Island.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. You get a free welcome drink when you arrive. The room was lovely, spacious and the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning much needed! Breakfast was very tasty and there was a good selection. I felt looked after and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.

Well located hotel within easy reach of Sliema

Superb boutique hotel in the heart of St Julian. It is close to Sliema and easy to navigate the island from the bus stop across the road.

Fantastic hotel and perfect location.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The view from the pool is beautiful. Ask for a room with a balcony.
Location: Lots of good restaurants nearby. We particularly liked Cuba and the Steak House.
We stayed at the Juliani for a week and couldn't have chosen a better hotel. Lovely room, perfect location and friendly staff. The roof top pool is a real treat! We loved this hotel so much that we hope to go back soon! We were at the back of the hotel and were more than happy with this with a double balcony. If we can afford it when we go back, we'll pay the extra for a room at the front to get the view of Spinola Bay.

Superb escape

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The suite with balcony overlooking the harbor, the friendly staff, the rooftop pool, the extensive breakfast with fresh orange juice
Cons: This has nothing to do with the hotel, but be sure to ask all taxi drivers in Malta the fee for each trip so they do not change it on you later
Location: The walk along the waterfront, several good and inexpensive restaurants nearby, and easy trip to Valetta for sightseeing.
A wonderful long weekend getaway in a great location. The hotel is very relaxing, and the rooftop pool in particular was a nice break from the heat and busy streets. Take a day cruise to visit the Blue Lagoon and perhaps Gozo. These cruises are a bit touristy, but you can sit in the sun and relax on deck and there is plenty of time for swimming. Recommend you take one of the wooden "sailing" ships or a catamaran instead of the very crowded and very touristy "cruise" ships.
