Lotus MyoKa Spa
The MyoKa Spa at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel and Spa is undeniably one of the most luxurious Spa venues in Malta.
Enter the Lotus Spa MyoKa and reconnect with the real you.
Within the tranquil world of MyoKa, beauty is synonymous with well-being. Each treatment is based on the philosophy that physical and psychological needs are not only designed to revive, rejuvenate, and restore the skin and body, but also balance the mind, body, and spirit.
Derived from ancient Japanese, the name "MyoKa" means "mysterious flower" and stems from the spa's philosophy that personal beauty is like a flower waiting to be discovered. All treatments and therapies aim to achieve total purification by restoring natural energy and harmony. The spa's services rely on significant essences of aromatherapy and phyto-therapy, and the treatments all descend from traditions and regimens used around the world. A spa's concierge is prepared provide advice or set up a tailor-made package based on individual needs needs. Some treatments can be arranged in the comfort of your hotel room.
The spa includes an inviting indoor heated swimming pool, guarded by four enormous white pillars and adorned with hand-carved designs. Balinese statuettes, teak-like wooden, an array of miniature trees and soft relaxing music all work to provide an ideal spa ambience. Pre-booking is recommended to guarantee time and space availability.
Spa visits provide guests access to all of the spa's amenities, including the indoor pool, hot tub, cold dip, sauna, and steam room. Bathrobes, towels, and slippers are supplied by the spa. A healthy food menu is provided on request.
Guests planning to use the sauna, swimming pool, steam room, or relaxation area must wear a bathing suit. For our guests' relaxation and well-being, the use of mobile phones, video cameras, or personal stereos are prohibited. Smoking is prohibited in all areas and at the time of writing, access to children and teenagers under 16 years old is only allowed until 5pm. “A good place to stay”
I was here on business for 3 days and found this a good location. Easy acess to places, and good for restuarants near by. Taxi from the airport is £21.00 Euros Swimming pool and gym were very well organised. I would use this hotel again.
“ONE OF THE BEST IN TOWN”
The location of the hotel is unique, specially if you manage to have a room with sea view. SPA is free of charge and meals gorgeous.
“A high property in St. Julian's”
The hotel has all the right pieces of being a great resort hotel. Great rooms, great views, and an amazing spa. The hotel staff is professional in the extreme. However, during peak season, there are only four elevators and the wait was very long at certain times. When an elevator did arrive, it was often full to capacity.
“Spacious Rooms, Great Views, Nice Location”
The rooms were in excellent condition and had plenty of space. The bathroom was spa-like, and the views from the balcony were amazing (we had a sea-view room). The neighborhood around the hotel was very tourist oriented, but had easy access to great restaurants, some bus routes, and a nice boardwalk. The only issue we had was the bar was usually understaffed, but with very friendly staff and the concierge was not that helpful in giving recommendations or expressing opinions about restaurants. If you plan on traveling around Malta frequently, a hotel in Valletta might be a better choice since the bus hub is there. However, if you're looking for a more relaxing vacation, this hotel is a great deal.
“Meridien, St Julians”
The staff at the Meridien were exemplary. The room was spectacular. A wonderful stay.
“TAKE ANOTHER ONE”

“Satisfied”
Le Meridien is well located in the heart of touristic area of Malta. Has some great fascilities such as swimming pool, wellness area, restaurants...The employers at the hotel were great. We had some troubles with internet connection and they fixed it imidiatelly. Later on, our safe box in the apartment was blocked and we needed something from it right away so they fixed this problem in 15 min and I was impressed how quick they are. Rooms are very clean and our junior suite was quite big for the two of us with great sea view. They are very serious when it comes to leaving important messages for guests (on tv, voice mail and even we found letter on the bad) so there is no way you can miss something, you can completely rely on them. I had a great time there and would recommend this hotel with all my heart!
“Solid hotel”
We stayed in June 2010 arriving at midnight from Sicily. The hotel is a quick, 20 euro ride from the airport. Check-in was smooth, and our room was per our reservation. Room was comfortable, and we elected to pay 35 euros per day to access the executive longe for breakfast, and unlimited snacks and drinks (including beer/wine, etc.) during our stay. The location is good, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. Valleta is a pretty good hike but easily accessible via bus or taxi (and the taxi system is very efficient - don't confuse Malta with Sicily, they are planets apart in terms of cleanliness and efficiency). Meals were quite reasonable in the area - we especially liked Picolo Padre and La Dolce Vita. The hotel has a decent rooftop pool and a good health club, including a nice indoor pool. Everyone at the hotel was very service oriented. On our last day we 'discovered' that taxis affliate themselves with the hotel and ended up hiring a taxi to take us to Mdina and then to the airport for our departure. We took a half day bus trip around Malta, and a full day trip to Gozo and Comino (combination jeep and boat) that were nice, and reasonable. Malta was a wonderful experience, and the Le Meridien St. Julians is a solid choice for those of you looking for a comfortbale but not lavish hotel.
“We had a very nice stay”
Malta was a truly pleasant experience. No real high or low points, but very relaxing with lots of pretty scenary, good restaurants, and food and wine at reasonable prices. St Juliens has everything we wanted. The hotel is very attractive but minimally staffed during the December holiday season. However, the staff on duty were very professional, courteous, and responsive. The only negative was the odor that frequently found its way through the vent in our bathroom -- good thing the weather was excellent and we could keep the door to our outdoor balcony open.
“5 Star Hotel with 2 Star Food”
Friendly staff, a lovely hotel with all the amenities. A great spa and fitness center. Location was excellent, easy to hop a bus to other points of interest. Unfortunately they need a new chef at the poolside snack bar, their service and snacks were very disappointing. They can make this so much better with a little effort.
