Sightseeing on GozoPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The family-run hotel did a lot of pampering and personal contact - in the best way possible. Sincere questions and inquires; lovely n' warm atmosphere
Cons: The breakfast, as mentioned.
Location: The beachfront - by night - is to die for. Also; just drive all over Gozo, it's an awesome island. (Guiseppes in Mellieha makes heavenly food)
Arrived w. GF - loved the view, the staff and the pool. Breakfast could've been a little more diverse/healthy, but for the price - lovely pampering. We had a nice cosy base for all of our sightseeing and didn't need anything (other than the aforementioned more diverse breakfast - fruit, maybe?). All in all a very nice stay with more than our moneys worth.

Excellent guest house close to Xlendi BayPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Personal feel, comfy, clean, helpful people & delicious breakfasts!
Cons: Mattresses. Undoubtedly clean but I could feel some springs.
Location: BEST location on Gozo! Easy walk down to Xlendi bay, as long as you can handle the initial road gradient. Local bus service also nearby for exploring.
We enjoyed a wonderful week at San Antonio Guest House. It's a properly family-run enterprise and the family are delightful & eager to help :) We'd stay again any time and happily recommend this guest house and the sister house next door at St Jude's. Felt well looked after!

Good bed and breakfastPosted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: Beautiful pool with shade and sun beds. Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff.
Cons: Bedding slightly tired.. Main gripe would be shower combined with bath taps with no wall hook. Water everywhere so used outside shower near pool.
Location: Located outside the resort of Xlendi up two fairly steep hills which may be a problem for people with mobility problems. Fantastic restaurants nearby.
Family run bed and breakfast. Rooms were large most with sea views. Wi fi available for a small charge. Usually somebody available up till lunchtime for advice and information. Communal fridge to store water and food for snacks. A very well stocked van arrived everyday with excellent fruit cheese and basics as no shop close by. Massive investment has been made in paths along the cliff tops from the bandb down to the main resort where swimming from the cliffs into a cordoned off sea pool was popular. Plenty of steps down into the water. Excellent restaurants with an amazing knowledge of gluten free requirements eg gluten free pasta pizza bread and breadsticks. A real treat for coeliacs!

A relaxing week at San Antonio's Guest HousePosted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: Location, view, owners, easy parking, pool....all fabulous
Cons: Community fridge, pillows, bed linen
Location: Close to excellent restaurants and water activities.Great views, quiet at night, restful by day. Parking also available.
Great location, and lovely views over the Xlendi Harbour. The family who run the hotel are very concerned with the comfort of guests, and are kind and caring. Bedrooms are large and spotlessly clean, as are bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning and balconies, and the pool and surrounds are in excellent condition. Most rooms have single beds, but they can be put together on request. Bed linen was clean, but beginning to show signs of age. Nearby restaurants provide excellent meals (especially seafood) at good value.

Great value for money - would definitely go backPosted Sep 23, 2012
Pros: Great views
Cons: Breakfast was 1980s style
Location: All the beauty without the tackiness of a resort
Great value for money. The rooms were clean and comfy, the pool was clean and the overall atmosphere was perfect. The hotel overlooks the bay/sea, which is visible from the pool area and almost all rooms. All but one room faces west so you benefit from sunsets each night. Our room had single beds which were pushed together (not brilliant for a romantic break, but where there's a will...), and a balcony overlooking the pool/sea. The staff were always v. friendly and helpful, organising our taxi to the port and even giving us a ride to the local supermarket. They have pool towels if you ask for them, and wifi is v.reasonably priced with a decent signal. The breakfast would benefit from a bit of variety and some simple additions (e.g. fruit/yoghurt/fresh juice), but overall reflects the price you pay. The town the hotel is located in (Xlendi) has lots of restaurants and ice-cream shops, easy walking distance away, and a bus link to the main town/rest of the island. The restaurants reflect the overall quality of food on Gozo ... and remember that the best thing about Maltese wine is the ability to not order it, and buy a French bottle instead.

Great compromise between convenience and peacePosted Sep 18, 2012
Sincere and friendly family hospitality. Warm greeting on arrival and served at breakfast as if a family friend. Rooms are clean, comfortable, high ceilings and airy. Limited to only 13 rooms there is always plenty of room for sunbathing by the beautiful pool. Great view from the terrace on the first floor. Located 100m from the bus stop to Victoria.

Perfect break from the tourist traps.Posted May 23, 2012
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Being a light sleeper it wasn't as quiet as a hotel, but I had expected this.
Location: Xlendi is beautiful, the guesthouse is right by the cliffs, the hill it is located on being not as steep as expected reading other reviews.
I've never stayed at a guesthouse before and was pleasantly surprised. Great location by the quaint Xlendi Bay, a very necessary break from the red-faced tourists. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful, freshly cooked breakfast, nice pool terrace and quiet. I have already recommended the guesthouse to other travellers and will continue to do so.
